Might as well just die if you're sick and can only go here, just grab the shovel and start digging. The entire healthcare system is crumbling and the ones suffering the worst are the patients. Were out here in crippling pain and they're giving us laxatives and sending us on our way with our “mild constipation” so that later that night we can push our own intestines back in when we finally realize that it's been hanging out for four days. But its just “mild constipation”. Heres some cheap mild laxatives that will for sure make it all worse.

What happened to do no harm? Is that not a thing anymore?

Dr Jacobs and Dr Tataba are the only doctors worth seeing in this hellhole.

Absolutely terrible experience, do not waste your time coming here.

Brought my son in after being told by 811 that he should be seen by a dr within an hour ONE HOUR. I live 40 mins from here so we left right away. Upon arrival all the lights were off and they scrambled us into a curtained area. The nurse who “helped” us, if you could even call it that, didn’t take our AB health care cards and didn’t even so much as ask for his name or age (So let’s note that this ER visit isn’t even documented on his file.) I didn’t understand her name but she was a younger Indian lady (just so we’re clear on who did not do their job tonight). She took his temp and his heart rate then made a call to a dr who said that it wasn’t urgent enough for him to come in and that we could come back in the morning. Imagine being told by one healthcare professional you need to seek urgent medical attention to then be sent away with zero care. Yup my 13 month old son with a fever of 39.1 and a very obvious infection was refused care. A first time mom panicking and driving in less than desirable winter conditions at 12:30 AM was sent home feeling helpless with zero answers.

Had I known this would’ve been the outcome I would’ve driven the 45 mins in the other direction to Grande Prairie Hospital. Shame on this hospital and shame on DR Anizoba for not getting off your ass and doing your JOB. 0/10 if I could give it that. This hospital is where people will go to die.

Been going to Dr. Jacobs for quite a while now. Her staff is always professional and courteous. You can also tell she genuinely cares about her patients and their health outcomes.
