You guys.. get here. Hidden gem. Lovely staff and easy to get too. Paved 99% of the way. Rent a flat bottom and rig up with a bobber, float, and worm. Cloudy days the fish go deep and sunny hit em with the flies. Can't recommend enough for people looking for exciting adventures in the heart of Nicola-Thompson Valley.

THEFT ALERT: Had my 600$ BADLANDS HUNTING PACK ALONG WITH all my clothes and another 500$ in valuables STOLEN out of are cabin “6”. JUNE 6th 2025. THE OWNERS WERE NOT HELPFULL at all and I guarantee had something to do with the crime. I highly suggest picking another place to stay EXSPECIALLY if they KNOW your from out of town. Definitely makes it easier for them to Rob from you and lie right to your face. THERE IS A REASON WHY ITS SO CHEAP.

First time for myself at Tunkwa. We showed up early on the day of check in and our cabin #1 was luckily ready. The gentleman at the front was very welcoming and got us signed in right away. We launched my boat shortly after. We stayed 3 nights and when we weren’t in the water we noticed that staff was always doing something to maintain the place. Staff was friendly and shared tips and tricks to fish the lake. I have only been fishing for about 4 years. This was my 3rd time out attempting to fly fish and I caught one on my first day on my fly rod.
A lot of people were saying they got skunked but we were able to hook up and bring some fish home.
I can’t wait to go back!

My son and I recently had the most incredible experience at Tunkwa Lake Fishing Lodge, and I cannot praise this place enough! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and accommodating staff who went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The lodge itself is a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. Our cabin was spotless and well-equipped, providing a cozy retreat after a day full of adventures. The serene beauty of Tunkwa Lake, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning natural surroundings, was nothing short of breathtaking.

Fishing at Tunkwa Lake was an absolute delight. The lake is teeming with fish, and we had an amazing time catching rainbow trout. My son, who is an avid fisherman, was thrilled with the plentiful catches and the helpful tips from the knowledgeable staff. The smile on his face as he reeled in fish after fish is something I will cherish forever.

The lodge’s dedication to providing an exceptional experience is evident in every detail. From the well-maintained facilities to the personalized service, everything was top-notch. I wholeheartedly recommend Tunkwa Lake Fishing Lodge to anyone looking for a memorable outdoor adventure. My son and I left with hearts full of joy, fantastic memories, and a strong desire to return soon!

The owners were great. Helped me with my batteries and let me charge them at the office to figure out my trailer problem. Sites were quiet and the people were very friendly, boat rentals at a great price and fishing wasn't bad either. I will be going there again.

Stayed for 4 nights in cabin #5 which was two bedroom with a kitchen and living area. The cabin was across from the lake and included all the necessary untensils and a bbq. The cabin was clean and comfortable but they are "rustic". An outhouse is assigned to each cabin as well as a large cedar picnic table, the shower and bathroom facilities are clean and well maintained. I do suggest to bring your own water jugs as there is no running water in the rustic cabins. The staff were very friendly and the grounds were well maintained. We rented a fishing boat which included a gas, safety kit and lie jackets. The fishing was slow during our visit, but I gather it is a symptom of the current weather. Our stay was relaxing, the water views are amazing and we will be back next year to hopefully catch some fish. I would recommend this property to others who want to "unplug" and enjoy the natural surroundings.

Great place to stay on a budget and have access to awesome fishing right outside your front door. Stayed 3 nights and the staff there were very helpful and eager to help you get into fish with advice.

We rented a Jon boat from the resort which was definetley worth it. Very stable and has a double anchor system to help deal with wind.

Would reccomend this to anyone wanting a budget friendly place to stay and fish!
