My daughter attends taekwondo at Kees and I couldn’t be happier! All of the instructors, from Master Warkentin, to Shelbi, Haley, Hailey, and Isabelle, are amazing with kids and my daughter admires and looks up to all of them. I couldn’t ask for better role models for my daughter.

Not only does this program encourage kids to be mindful, it also teaches them an array of positive traits to attain as they become respectful and responsible young humans. Our kids have been training with Kees Vernon since they were around 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old. We've been part of the Kees family for about 8 years now, and we have two black belts and one aspiring black belt. The program has helped our 3 boys immensely with their self-confidence, and discipline. It's helped our 2nd child become more coordinated. Their grandfather is a Master at another WT dojang and we are so proud of how the boys have carried on the love of this martial arts. This particular studio has always been a welcoming place to train, and their instructors and leadership are second to none. The leadership opportunities they provide the children and teens is excellent and they carry this with them lifelong. The main reason we have carried on so long is the sense of community, and the quality of the leadership, from Grand Master Ha's inspiring words at Black Belt Testing, to Master Warkentin's words of encouragement, discipline and work ethic. From Master Arnold's ability to elevate the artistic portrayal of the martial art, to the leadership in creating a safe and fun space to learn. Thank you Kees!

Love this place! My daughter started about 6 months ago and she is loving the program!! All the belts!! She practices alot at home as well
Shes in the after school program now and that is a life saver for 2 parents who work full time!! She gets upset when we have to leave!!

No simple write up here can express the gratitude I feel nor the change for the better Kees has made for my son. No single activity can have such a positive life altering impact on a child's life than joining a martial arts. It started with a free buddy pass, where my son got to try two classes for free with his friend. The class was super fun! What 5 year old active little boy wouldn't want to learn by playing games and being taught by super fun instructors with pool noodles So he was hooked.

Then my three year old daughter got bored watching on the sidelines and wanted to try. One class and she was hooked.
Then I was watching from the sidelines thinking, dang this looks like fun. So I signed up for one month of kickboxing. Now I'm hooked.

Eventually I signed up for taekwondo as well. Hooked on that too. This stuff is empowering!

The instructors are skilled, fun, positive, supportive, all while holding you to a high but achievable standard, without undue pressure. I needed a ton of modifications when I started, and was always made to feel great about working at my own level. If you're thinking about it, come try! You will be hooked!

Also, compared to many other kid's activities, the price is super reasonable. And kickboxing is a steal!

Oh, I also did a kid's birthday party through these guys, and it was awesome! Everyone had a ton of fun, all I had to do was bring a cake and my own kids, and the price was great.
