I love volunteering at TEAD, working with the horses, instructors, riders and families. Training for new volunteers is very comprehensive and the volunteer community is incredibly supportive of one another.

My 7-year-old daughter went to Camp Wrangler for 2 weeks this summer and she had a total blast. She has previous riding experience, but her confidence on horseback is now at all all-time high thanks to the counselors, volunteers and wonderful instructors. She's already looking forward to camp next year!

We had the absolute pleasure of working with TEAD – Therapeutic Riding Centre, and wow… what an amazing experience! From the moment the KalKaden team arrived, it was clear how much heart and care goes into everything they do. The connection between the riders and the horses is something truly special – it’s powerful, emotional, and honestly, just beautiful to witness.

As a video team, we couldn’t have asked for a more inspiring setting. The rolling fields, the peaceful atmosphere, the gentle, loving horses – it all came together in the most cinematic way. But what really stood out to us was the people. The staff and volunteers are so passionate and welcoming, and they made it easy for us to capture the authentic magic of TEAD.

We walked away not just with amazing footage, but with full hearts. TEAD is changing lives in the best way possible, and we’re incredibly grateful to have been part of telling their story. Highly recommend checking them out – whether you’re a family looking for support, or a creative team looking to capture something meaningful, this place is the real deal.

I’ve had the pleasure of being a volunteer with TEAD since the summer of 2023. And to anyone reading I have to say this: TEAD is absolutely amazing!

As a volunteer: Everyone, from other volunteers, instructors, they’re simply the best. They are kind, they are nurturing, they are the most incredible group of people I’ve had the privilege of learning and working beside! I came with no prior experience and the kind souls at TEAD were patient and so engaging in assisting me, training me to help our horses and riders!

For riders: while I am not one, I encourage you to read my views. TEAD has a handful of professionals, I’ve seen riders who were nervous to sit in a saddle start to ride with joy, excitement and ease all because the work both the rider and instructors commit to!
TEADs instructors are top tier, coming from an array of background with one goal in mind: Giving the riders the best experience they deserve.
Their patience, enthusiasm and dedication is breathtaking; the confidence they embody and inspire to the riders is something I’ve seen time and time again.

TEAD welcomes all who are willing to learn, to put the effort, or who simply need the help a therapy horse can provide (which is a lot, even being able to be near them is therapeutic)

I could write a book on the incredible amount of effort, dedication, love, kindness, and compassion that TEAD (Staff and other Volunteers) have given not just myself but goodness knows how many others.

I implore you, if you have a chance to ride with TEAD either in private lessons, therapy rides, or during camp it is an experience that is unlike any other.

If, like me, you are unable to ride but want to be apart of an amazing team then I again implore you to volunteer.

Regardless of how you find your way to TEAD, I can promise you one thing: Once you join you’ll always leave with a smile!

TEAD is incredibly amazing and will always hold a special place in my heart. My first experience with the program was when I was around 10 years old as a camper which was such a fun, immersive experience. As an adult I volunteered and then worked as a camp counsellor which was also a fantastic experience. The staff are so dedicated to their mission and make everyone feel so welcomed and safe. The horses are so loved and well looked-after. You can really tell how much love and dedication that has gone into the program from the stables to the arena and the entire property itself is beautiful and well-kept. I will always treasure this wonderful place ❤️

My wife and i also attended with
our 3 grandchildren !

It was a fantastic outing and even our
local MPP , and Santa , showed up
to help support the special event !

Young and old with physical or
diagnosed disabilities , can actually
benefit from participating in several
programs offered here to help
with physical , sensory, psychological ,
emotional challenges thru the benefits of there therapy programs offered from
what i gathered from my first time
visit here .

They were treated with acceptance , patience dignity and inclusitivity an understanding in relations to their unique challenges or to their individual needs
as far as i saw going thru facility and
seeing all the horses and even a mule
and seeing the interaction among
staff , volunteers , and visitors.

I am certainly humbled by my visit
here last Sunday at second seating
reservation and the totally awesome
breakfast buffet and christmas
cookies and cupcakes !

I had an amazing experience joining the therapeutic riding sessions offered at T.E.A.D. Ellen, my instructor and wonderful volunteers ,really made me feel comfortable, and confident in every session. They really accommodate you to your needs. I joined the therapeutic riding lessons to improve my mobility. In a short period, I was able to confidently sit and ride holding the reins. I am so grateful for the experience. Looking forward to joining in the upcoming seasons!
