I am appalled by this district. As some may have noticed, as of quite recently, the ability to review schools in this board has been removed. Many students have shared their true thoughts through those reviews, and deleting them is no way to deal with what they bring to attention. From deleting any personal items on students accounts to banning all overnight trips and trips near water, as well as so much more, this school board has much to improve on. For my second point, I bring up the school reviews once again. Students have lodged reviews about terrible policies in place at their schools, as well as bullying and various issues that the board says are “very serious and need to be dealt with.” If you are saying that, deal with the problem, not the way to speak up against the problem. Please, fix your issues.

Your teachers really should know how to act in a professional manner especially if they are going to advertise your school board. Your teacher Terri Myers behavior is extremely unprofessional and she treats customer service people with complet disrespect. You should have a higher standards especially if these people are teaching our children.

My child was abuse at a school in Halton region, I filed a complaint to HDSB, and demand to get the security footage of the abuse done to my child, do you all know that the whole school board is covering up the abuse for the teacher even the Privacy HDSB J.W Singleton Education Centre Guelph Line Burlington employees are also covering down for the teacher, They sabotage and tampered with the security footage sending the wrong footage not even time or date of incident is being shown on the footage, The Superintendent they assign me to for investigating the case is lying and covering up for the teacher also. Even social services are in it to cover up for them. I was told by the social service case worker I was assigned to when I reported it to them that it is not their job; I should take it up with the school board. What will it do for these people to care and do what is right? it seems they are being paid to go against the system and not to give a darm if a child is being abused, muchness dies. SAY NO TO CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLIGENCE! SAY NO TO HDSB, THE WORST SCHOOL BOARD IN ONTARIO.

I can't say anything with evidence about how kids are treated in schools here. What I can say is as a consultant on child development, I've observed Parents request my intervention on how to access basic assessments after being aware their kids are neurodivergent and affected by undiagnosed while having history in their own family ! Parents do deny their own limitations and unfortunately many Parents just aren't equipped to figure out how to homeschool kids and hire teachers by age 5. Get real is my message to many Parents here. Open your eyes! How many Christians are better off? How many people are deemed living within their means? The rhetoric applied to much of education is pandering to demonic philosophy.
Why are thousands of our neighbours in the states homeschooling their kids with success and preparedness for college? How many kids actually see the real world with oracy and basic visual skills and know about values and kindness from a Parent? Ive just seen lots of weirdos around here. They knew all this DEI is nonsense. Much of what you see going on Parents must take a stand against. Parents go get a grip.

Absolutely horrible school board, you’re not allowed to use your phone if you’re with HDSB, you’re not allowed to get in touch with either your parent or guardian, and a lot of the staff are very mean and rude, HCDSB is better.

This school board is wonderful. The teachers are capable, intelligent, and truly care about the students. The students are intelligent and have bright futures ahead of them. The staff are knowledgeable and kind.

Enrolment decreasing, budget crisis intensifying, misleading teachers about the enrolment crisis, and trustees and management just play musical chairs while parents and students vote with their feet choosing the Catholic school board instead. Fast forward 3 years from "kaylagate" comments below and karma has hit the HDSB. HDSB still woke and tone deaf to their public constituents. Thank goodness for choice.

The HDSB neglects children's wellbeing in favor of supposed and concocted teachers' human rights to wear fake prosthetic breasts and pushes an extreme agenda beyond the norms of inclusivity. The current 2022/23 culture and regime at the HDSB is toxic. Go to the Catholic Board where balance is maintained.

Everyone that is on the board of directors should be reviewed by the auditor general. I wouldn't feel bad if the entire board was terminated for wasting tax payers dollars.

This is by far the worst school board I've witnessed in Ontario. They take way too many PA days and get absolutely 0 done. It's so bad that the first day of school each September start is a PA day; as if the summer off wasn't enough! LoL An absolute disgrace and a joke!

I feel sorry for the teachers and principals. They try their best but honestly their executive team needs a reset.
