My daughter has been dancing at Amanda's Dance Company (ADC) for over 5 years and had a very positive experience. All the instructors are caring and supportive of the children's learning and growth to become a better dancer. The facility is nice and clean. The competitive groups are smaller in size compared to other local studios which allows for attention on the dancers' needs. We look forward to another great upcoming season as part of the competitive team!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Amanda’s Dance Company is truly something special!

My daughter started dancing at Amanda’s when she was just 5 years old, and now at 9, she’s proudly part of the competitive team — and absolutely thriving! From day one, we’ve been blown away by the incredible leadership, passionate instructors, and the strong sense of family that fills every corner of this studio.

The team at Amanda’s goes above and beyond to ensure every child feels included, supported, and empowered. The level of communication is outstanding, and we’re always greeted with warmth, positivity, and genuine care. It’s clear how deeply invested they are in their dancers — not just in technique, but in building confidence, character, and lasting friendships.

Amanda’s Dance Company has become a second home for our family, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the dedication and heart they pour into everything they do. Highly, highly recommend this amazing studio to any parent looking for a supportive and inspiring space for their child to grow.

As a business owner, I don’t often leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience with Amanda’s Dance Studio (ADC). I believe constructive feedback is valuable, but it’s disheartening to see someone unfairly attempt to damage a business’s reputation with misinformation and gossip. Spreading false narratives to persuade others to leave the studio is simply wrong and undermines the hard work and dedication of the team at ADC.

My daughter has been part of ADC for three years and absolutely loves it. The teachers have fostered her growth, helped her build confidence, and created a welcoming environment where she’s made lifelong friends, including her best friend. I want to extend a special thank you to Ms. Amanda for her unwavering commitment to creating a nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and have fun. Her passion for dance and education is truly inspiring.

I also want to recognize Ms. Chrissa and Ms. Nicole for their patience, kindness, and dedication to their students. Additionally, it’s heartwarming to see Ms. Penny’s pride and support for her daughter, Ms. Amanda, at every special moment—it’s a testament to the family-oriented values of the studio.

Our family is grateful for the positive impact ADC has had on our daughter. Keep up the incredible work, and thank you for everything you do for our children.

My daughter started learning at Amanda Dance Company in 2021 when she was 7 years old, and we’ve had a wonderful experience ever since. The instructors are professional, patient, and truly passionate about dance. Not only has my daughter improved her technique, but she has also gained confidence and made great friends. Amanda Dance Company provides a supportive and inspiring environment for young dancers to grow and shine. Highly recommended!!

I drive my daughter here. This is her happy place. Seeing her happy at dance gives her confidence in and outside the studio. Highly recommended for families who wants most value for money. Price has not increased and one of the most competitive reasonable price in the market. Thankful for the teachers who are dedicated, passionate, patient but most importantly understanding to the needs of the children. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

My 8 yo daughter started attending ADC in 2024 and just finished her first term in the recreational acrobatic dance which are 40 mins classes. My daughter really enjoys it and her teachers really help support and challenge her that by the end of the term she was able to do a lot of acrobatic tricks. The end of the term there is a dance recital and costumes that are provided by ADC, which is really amazing. The recreational classes are not as packed with kids and at time 2 students in the class, the upside to this is the teachers are able to focus on the students more and help them with more foundation, stretching, and tricks. I think ADC is more heavily focused on competition dancing which the students can audition for and I am sure is more rigorous and a bit more expensive.

As a parent who had my child enrolled at Amanda’s Dance Company (ADC) for several years, I feel it’s important to share my honest experience for families considering this studio.

When we first joined ADC, it seemed like a welcoming place for young dancers. Unfortunately, as time went on, it became clear that the studio lacks the training quality, professionalism, and leadership needed to support serious dancers as they grow.

Training and Instruction:
Technique classes are inconsistently structured, often wasted with dancers sitting on the floor rather than working on actual skills. Classes were frequently led by young assistants rather than certified, experienced instructors — not what you expect when paying premium tuition. Choreography is often recycled from previous years, with minimal innovation or progression.

Leadership and Professionalism:
After voicing concerns with other parents (I was not the only parent that brought this up) about the repetition of routines and exploring other options for my daughter’s dance education, I experienced clear retaliation. Amanda rescinded my daughter’s competitive offer for the following year — a petty and disappointing move. Not that it mattered in the long run as we had already made our minds up to leave.

It’s troubling that rather than address feedback professionally, the response was exclusion and punishment.

This unprofessional behavior continued at competition. When I stepped in to help other moms (I was asked to) with quick hair and costume changes — something encouraged in most healthy dance communities — Amanda’s mother, who is not a teacher at the studio, publicly shooed me away, saying “you’re not needed” in front of students , teacher and other parents.
The culture of immaturity, exclusion, and pettiness trickles down from the top — and it shows.

Facilities and Costs:
Despite charging some of the highest fees among local studios, ADC’s facilities are lacking. No real parent lounge, no seating, and limited access to proper washrooms — parents are left sitting in their cars for hours, making the constant price hikes feel even more unjustified.

Customer Service Issues:
A major issue occurred with my daughter’s costume: after paying full price for a custom competition outfit, the skirt arrived defective. I ended up using an old costume piece to make it work — after handling the situation myself with no real support. Attempts to advocate for a proper customer service response were brushed off, with no credit, no refund, and only hollow reassurances that “everything was handled professionally.” I finally received a replacement only to have the skirt pretty much shoved in my face when we showed up to get ready for recital. 3 months too late!!!!

Studio Culture:
Rather than fostering teamwork, ADC operates with defensiveness, favoritism, and exclusion. Students were even subjected to emotional conversations about “who is leaving” during classes, leaving kids upset and creating an unhealthy dynamic. Instead of leadership, there’s constant panic, blame-shifting, and immature behavior.

Overall:
If you’re serious about your child’s dance development and want a professional, supportive environment, ADC is not the place.

We’re deeply grateful for the friendships we made and the teachers who truly care for the kids. But ultimately, leaving ADC was the best decision we could have made for our daughter’s growth, happiness, and well-being.
