Hanway Music Markham is such a warm and welcoming place for anyone looking for piano lessons in Markham. Jessica is an amazing piano teacher who is patient, encouraging, and really takes the time to follow each student’s pace and musical journey. Hanway Music Markham also provides wonderful opportunities for students to perform, including optional recitals where kids can share their music in a fun and supportive environment. Jessica’s approach gives the students a special experience, while still keeping everything low-pressure and enjoyable. We are so grateful to have Jessica and the excellent team of teachers at Hanway Music Markham in our community.

We’ve had such a positive experience at Hanway Music with our son’s Saturday drum classes. The timing works so well with our weekend schedule, and the Markham location is convenient for our family. This review is long overdue! Our family has been part of Hanway Music for several years, and the experience has been nothing short of excellent. From our very first piano lesson in Markham to online classes during the pandemic and back to in-person lessons, everything has been seamless. My son started with piano lessons and has now expanded into singing lessons, and the progress in his confidence and musical ability has been amazing to watch. I’ve even started taking voice lessons in Richmond Hill with Clara, and every class has been inspiring and enjoyable. Clara is also wonderful outside of lessons always quick to respond, patient with scheduling, and very supportive. If you’re looking for music lessons in Markham or Richmond Hill, I highly recommend Hanway Music.

Big thanks to Henry for tuning my Boston Grand Piano so beautifully. It sounds more rich, and super responsive. He didn’t just tune and leave; he shared helpful advice about the piano and gave me some great tips on how to take care of it. You can tell he really cares about the instrument and the player. My child is thoroughly enjoying her time at Hanway Music. Her guitar instructor, Mr. Jordan, has a fantastic rapport with young students – he’s kind, supportive, and makes learning enjoyable. He picks engaging pieces that match her taste, which keeps her excited about playing. She eagerly anticipates each weekly class and is inspired to rehearse on her own. The school overall has a warm, friendly atmosphere. I absolutely recommend it!

The Hanway Music is a fantastic choice for kids piano lesson. Having played for four decades and spent time teaching myself, I can say their instructors are truly top-notch. The team is attentive, organized, and always ready to help. My son studies piano here, and I take both piano and guitar lessons as well. I would choose this school over any other in the region without hesitation. My son is now in his seventh year of piano and has participated in multiple recitals and music events with them.
