I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for the wonderful guided tour that led us through the rich historical site in Markham. It was truly an inspiring and educational experience, allowing us to connect with the city’s vibrant past and heritage.

The preservation of key landmarks like the train station, chapel, blacksmith shop, and variety hall within the museum is not only impressive but deeply meaningful. These authentic settings bring history to life and offer visitors a unique opportunity to step back in time and understand the roots of the community.

I would like to kindly encourage the City to continue investing in the protection and promotion of these historic sites. Increasing funding and resources for heritage conservation will ensure that future generations can enjoy and learn from these treasures. Additionally, enhancing public education—perhaps through school programs, interactive exhibits, and more frequent guided tours—would be a wonderful way to raise awareness and appreciation for Markham's cultural legacy.

萬錦市村莊博物館成立於1971年，保存30多座歷史建築和農村設施。包括學校、農舍、鐵路、鐵匠鋪和民宅等，有 維多利亞風格、攝政時期風格 的民房，這些建築都是從萬錦市不同地區搬遷過來重建的。

There is also an outdoor area with guided tour at 2pm, where there are many old houses. Visitors can immerse themselves with the early lifestyles of the pioneers of Markham.

After all, the admission of the museum is only $7 which is not expensive when compared with other museums in Toronto. This museum is highly recommended.

I've been coming here every year for the past few years for an annual community picnic with over a thousand guests. The grounds and facilities are spacious and always clean. The staff do a good job of maintaining the cleanliness and emptying the garbage bins frequently.

We had our son’s 4th birthday party at Markham Museum and can’t say enough good things. The staff was helpful from start to finish, and the kids loved the various activities they led. The staff were very engaging and caring throughout. The Everyday Superheroes exhibit was a lot of fun, very interactive, and the kids really enjoyed it.

We scheduled a tour before finalizing our booking, and even during the tour, we were impressed by how attentive the staff were.

We look forward to our next visit.

Good place to show case history of Markham. I really liked the outdoor buildings, they have special feel to them that takes you back to 1800s and early 1900s

Theres a tour at 12 pm and 3 pm for outdoor buildings on weekend. While weekdays tour time is 2 pm usually

The main building exhibits keep on changing during year. So better check website before going.

All in all nice place to spend weekend if you want to learn about how people used to live in Markham

Free parking. Entry fee in museum is not huge so well worth it.

The current exhibition of the museum is about Transportation and Chinese culture. There are plenty of interactive exhibits yet there are only few visitors, so you can easily experience these exhibits without needing to queue for them. Extremely suitable for families with children who likes playing with interactive exhibitions.

Had my wedding ceremony here and it was so beautiful. Such a great area with history and rustic vibes. Scott was our final coordinator (not rating 5 starts because we had about 4 different coordinators throughout this time which was pretty challenging) but he was fantastic and so kind and accommodating. Definitely recommend for any events or to walk around and take in the views. Our day was perfect here!
