My daughter Adriana went to Curio for preschool and she loved it! The teachers are amazing and very hands on, my daughter always had good things to say about her day every time I would pick her up. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a preschool in Barrie 🙂

Best kept secret in Barrie. A great place for your kids to learn and play. Lots of creative and thinking play areas. My granddaughter went to summer camp there then we decided to ask to have her birthday party there recently. The staff is amazing and nice. No trouble at all everyone was happy. Thank you so much for the accommodation. Just remember to wear your mask. Love this place. Check it out.

Where do I begin? I was first recommended to Curio by a mother that I met through my daughters swim class. I guess the events played out as it was meant to be. We were new in the Barrie area and was looking for something alternative to daycare preschool and this is the best place we can ever imagining sending our daughter to. Our daughter also attended the summer camps throughout the summer season.
Curio is not militant in approach, it’s paybased learning. The energy is easy and casual which we love. Stephanie is wonderful, she loves children and doing what she does we could tell the moment we met her!! She is super flexible and open to your comments, suggestions & recommendations.
Our daughter also loves, loves, loves the teachers there, (Maddie & Adam). They are fantastic and all the children are obsessed with them.
If you are a parent looking for something more than just a daycare with some flexibility in your child’s schedule, which for us open up space for other extra curricular activities, Curio is the place!!!

From summer camps, to preschool programs, to Christmas and Halloween parties … my kids have loved Curio SO much! Steph, the owner, is amazing and she has the most amazing teachers that my 3 children have all loved. By far the best camp and preschool program that my kids have ever been to in Barrie!

This place is amazing ! Both our children have greatly benefited from being part of Curio. Our daughter is part of the Day Camp. At first she was nervous to be away from us but once she walked through the Curio doors, she forgot about us and the fun began for her.

When picking her up she comes home in a positive mood and always enjoys telling us about the cool things she’s done at Curio. The owner, Stephanie is also a pleasure to deal with and cares so much about the children. She takes time to get to know the children.

If you have children that need to be engaged, send them over to Curio. You will be glad you did!

We cannot say enough good things about this place! Our son has attended the Curio Preschool Program as well as Camp. The physical environment is beautiful and bright. It is wide open and the materials are diverse and just waiting for creative little hands to explore them. This is truly a child centered learning environment. Kids are encouraged to be themselves and to learn and explore in their own meaningful way. Our first experience was with the owner Stephanie... my goodness, this woman is one of a kind! She puts so much heart and soul into all things Curio and you can just tell that this place is her dream. Stephanie is one of those people that always has a genuine smile on her face. She always seems to see the positive and truly just LOVES to watch the kids that enter her doors thrive. Maddie and Adam have run our son's programs and they are the perfect fit for Curio. Sweet, energetic, high energy, creative and compassionate people that just look like they love what they're doing. Our son has also had the opportunity to meets lots of other camp staff and volunteers who have all been absolutely wonderful. When we drop our child off, we know he is in the best hands.
We also love all of the photos that are taken and shared while our son is away from home. It give us a little glimpse of all of the fun he is having! Another bonus are the adorable arts and crafts projects that are he brings home!

My girls absolutely love curio an all programs they have attended (sewing, empowered kids, preschool, pizza party with Santa). For them it has been a safe, clean, creative, fun space for them to explore, make friends and learn. Steph has created an incredible space and team. We are very thankful to have Curio and all the programs they create.
