I cannot express how wonderful of an experience it has been to attend 3 very different classes. The instructors, Shawna, Laura and Nicole were highly motivating, understanding and supportive with me, someone who is a complete yoga novice. Thank you for making me feel welcome and comfortable to continue with my yoga journey.

I took advantage of the 14$ for 14 days at OYF.
1. I went to 10/14 days
2. My focus is Yoga (no barre/pilates, etc)
3. I've not been to any OYF before this.

Overall I had a positive experience at OYF, and will be returning for the occasional drop-in class (either paying a drop-in rate or a class pass pack)

Things I wish I was surprised by (not value statements):
1. There are no change rooms. Instead, there are 4 bathrooms, and you store your things inside ikea-styled cubbies inside of the studio itself. The space for outdoor clothes (sweaters/jackets,etc) is in the hallway outside the studio.
2. Your picture is taken when you sign-up for the trial. And they do filming during classes - you'll be notified (they announce it) but you're asked to speak up after class if you don't want to appear in the videos.
3. There's a bottle refill station but no water fountain or any cups.
4. Mat rentals are 5$. I've only rented for 2$ in my previous experience. They are b-mats and I love them.
5. At the end of yoga classes, the instructor asks for everyone to put their hands in the shape of a heart at their chest and recite Oxygen's Mantra (twice) - "I love my life, I love my life"

Specifically for those focused on yoga:
From my 10 classes I didn't get the sense that yoga is taken seriously with a focus on expanding people's practices beyond what people can do already.
For example - in a class with a more advanced yoga move, Bird of Paradise, the instructor did not ask everyone to make sure they had a strap in order to make the pose more accessible and facilitate progression. A lot of emphasis was placed on the fact that it was an advanced pose, that was all. During my learning process of this pose, I fortunately had instructors who offered different modifications using blocks and straps to help feel what the pose is meant to be like for my body.

MY thoughts on the value:
1. It is 75$ biweekly, or ROUGHLY 170$ a month (75x2 for a month + taxes is $169.50) this is for the full "unlimited-style" membership. I do believe they have a slightly reduced option for about 130$ (I don't recall the details)
2. Caveat - for the membership price you cannot book back to back classes. You can only book in the AM class "block" and the PM class "block", this is likely due to studio being relatively small and so that more people can attend the class.
3. based on my needs (yoga) and the amenities, this is not a good value. I do assume those who take advantage of all classes feel differently.

Note: The staff are very nice, so are the instructors.

Absolutely am loving this studio. I don’t like the heat generally but the infrared is so different. Now I love the heat and find it so much better on my body. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The teachers give challenging classes and are inspirational. My favourite instructor is Shawna - she has such great energy and radiated positivity! Definitely recommend!

I have been a member for coming up to two years now and I can't say enough good things about it. The community there is incredible. Everyone is so supportive. There is no sense of competition, just encouragement and care. The instructors are trained experts that really know their stuff. Beyond that I don't think there is another business where the employees openly show such commitment and care to their workplace. They love where they work and it shows. Which makes me want to show up each day. I love the heat and feel so healthy after each class. Can't recommend enough!

Oxygen Yoga is everything I was looking for! I absolutely love tone and sculpt with Shawna! Her classes are challenging but leave you feeling so accomplished (same with every other instructor)

I would assume the point of a 14 day trial is to try their class types and see if their studio would be a good fit for your fitness goals… however, when I inquired about signing up for the trial, they asked about my health goals/interest, I shared that I have done hot yoga in the past at a different studio chain (NOT OYF), and that I was not familiar with the classes they offer. They immediately responded that their program is “designed for people who have never tried their classes before.” I further clarified that I have never been to an OYF, hence my interest in trying their classes, which they proceeded to ignore. I still have yet to hear back 2 weeks later. Keep in mind they use your phone number to have this conversation through text so they just stopped replying altogether. Not impressed.
