Extremely welcoming community! Was visiting from Toronto, and we were greeted by at least 7 different people before the service even started. I thought the service was planned really well too. The guest services staff members were really helpful, and they served light refreshments after the service. Beautiful to see warm, intergenerational fellowship!

The worship songs are so powerful and uplifting. The sermons are straight from the bible, full of truth and the pastor does an excellent job with his delivery. I definitly recommend this church!

I love Cornerstone Baptist Church! It's my go to church if I'm ever in Orillia.
On a Sunday you can expect someone to come say hi, Christ-centered worship, and a biblical sermon.

Trying to get leadership to help you, you get ignored. You get lost in the crowd and no authentic connections, pretenders being the majority of the attendees.
The only good thing about this church are the sermons, they are on point.

Cornerstone Baptist church is by far our favorite church that we have ever attended. It is healthy and steadily growing.

When you enter into the church, you are welcomed by an ushering team who is knowledgeable and can get you the information that you may require. Make sure you stop by the welcome desk if you are a visitor, as they have a gift for you!

We have attended several churches in the past but they were more like "Seeker" churches, sharing the good news of the Lord, but never actually explaining it in detail.

At Cornerstone you will be taught the truth of the scriptures, in full detail leaving you feeling like you have learned something new every time you attend. This church will also make you feel like you are part of "the family" by the time you leave.

Cornerstone has an amazing group of elders and a deacon care team. As well, they have five full-time pastors who cover the full spectrum of all age ranges. Pastor Paul Carter is the lead pastor, who is incredibly gifted in Sharing God's word. He also has a podcast called "into the word" where you can listen to mini sermons online. As well, if you are unable to attend in person you can watch the service online each week.

This is a church that never sleeps! There are Ministries happening every single day morning and night! If you attend Cornerstone you will have the opportunity to attend Bible studies, women's ministry events, Men's Ministry events, youth ministry events, and seniors Ministry events. They also have events for the entire family.

The children's ministry team is AMAZING!

The youth ministry in this church is active and growing at a significant pace. Each week a large group of volunteers teach the children in Sunday school while the adults attend the church service upstairs. (I believe up to grade 5).

When you arrive with your child, there is a safe protocols in place. Each adult must sign in their child, and will be given a barcoded sticker and their child will have the corresponding sticker attached to their clothing. Only the parent can pick up the child with the corresponding sticker. If your child should need you during the service, your corresponding number will be projected onto the screen in the sanctuary, alerting you to head downstairs to attend to your child.

There is a beautiful nursery, equipped with capable, caring and loving volunteers and up to date equipment. ( I will add that all volunteers are screened with a police check).

The Junior High and Senior High groups actively meet weekly, and do some really fun stuff! There are different events that are set up throughout the year for these kids to attend. From laser tag, wonderland, Tree Top trekking, snow tubing, bonfires, and camping. This is a great place for your kids to Foster relationships with other "like-minded" teens.

There's also small groups for young adults who are no longer in high school but are starting to go to university and have already graduated. This group is called "college and careers". This group also meets weekly and studies the Bible. (I believe they Are known for meeting for a cup of tea or coffee and Game Nights.)

The seniors are taken care of by a pastoral care team who takes the time to check on them if they are housebound, bedridden, hospitalized and/or lonely. Cornerstone Baptist Church believes that the seniors are a very important part of the church as they can be great mentors for those who are younger than them, and are often a walking testimony to the trials they have been through in their own lives.

I have only presented a portion of the areas in which this church is very special; come on out one Sunday and see for yourself!

P.s. Make sure you stop by Brother Bean before (or after) the service for a hot cup of coffee, and snack! (And yes, the coffee and treats are free, and are often better than Tim Hortons coffee!)

My husband and I went to this church for a chili contest and met amazing people
