They claim to be hiring and are short staffed. There are shortages in classrooms/schools daily, yet they are extremely slow to hire OTs. As a fully qualified and experienced teacher in good-standing, it is incredibly frustrating to be waiting months to be hired when all I want to do is teach (and not as an underpaid emergency teacher). Meanwhile, principals and their staff are struggling to find replacements and students are having unqualified individuals in their classrooms. It is not new information that there are shortages everywhere; but shouldn't the UCDSB prioritize hiring and be streamlining the application process to rectify the issue? Applicants are going to move along and the system will continue to struggle.

They closed down an amazing school and shoved students into a school where we aren't wanted by the students and some of the teachers, a lot of bullying has happened which doesn't get dealt with and a lot of our grades have went down sense we can't get the help we need. They have ruined a lot of our futures. But all they care about is money and themselves. They never cared about the students from the beginning.

It’s a shame when some people have to behave so childishly on the internet. (Just a preface).

We are extremely pleased with the UCDSB and Linklater Public School. I was convinced that my autistic son wasn’t going to receive the supports he needed and was sure that I was going to have to homeschool him. I have never been so happy to be proven wrong. UCDSB has put in so much support and so many amazing programs. All of the staff we have met have been amazing and our son is absolutely thriving.
