Only because there wasn't a zero. A girl suffered a concussion there at the hands of a fellow girl student. The bullying and abuse was not the first time with this student. The girl also attacked a male student. The girl victim was hospitalized and the bully was given a free ride, no consequences or parent informed. Parents have reached out to school, teacher, principal and board...no action was taken by said professional staff. A male was also attacked and had his glasses stolen while going to the school bus to go home. When school contacted said there was nothing they could do about this 7 year old victim. Come on it's time to step up and protect these kids. A concussion, an attack and eye glasses stolen, when does it stop. Also the school busses are a farce. Kids are being swore at, abused and attacked. When driver and company are informed they just say if you don't like it ....walk. things need to change soon.

Horrible school. No action taken against bullies. Talked to teacher, principal every week trying to get things worked out. But they couldn't have cared less for the safety and comfort of my kids.
And the educational side of things was also a total no go - grade 3, left, right, infront, behind - serious?
Best choice we ever made was talking the gamble to try a different school. Much better teacher, no bullying and they get the education they need to grow.
No matter what I would prefer anything over this school would do homeschooling before sending them here.

This is a horrible school. My daughter is a visible minority and was bullied for a whole school year. She was called racial slurs and made fun of. The teachers and the Principle at the time (Mrs. Lori Barkans) were aware of what was happening and witness to this behaviour. Nothing was done about the abuse and violent attacks against my daughter. The student was not suspended for the racial slurs or held accountable. It wasn’t until I contacted the superintendent that they finally removed that student from her classroom one week before the school year was over. This school lacks accountability. There were several staff members who saw this behaviour and failed report it or do anything about it. The way they handle bullying and racism is appalling. Racism is alive and well at this school. It is not a safe environment for children. I know this first hand. What my daughter went through for the whole year will have lasting affects on her mental health and self esteem. I had to get an advocacy group involved called Parents of Black Children to help me address this issue of racism due to their lack of action. I am very disappointed at the way the school handled the abuse. I have a lot of anxiety about the safety of my child at this school in the coming school year.

I am currently attending this school, I have a terrible experience there as a student of colour. I wouldn’t recommend this school Because of the racism, Vandalism, drugs, the none stop bullying and just the people in general. I have witnessed people being harassed, called names and even a chair thrown at a student and the teachers failed to do something about it. Over time the students at this school stopped reporting issues cause nothing is being done anyways.

I attended that school for about 1 and a half years, the schooling it's self was pretty good but they do little to nothing about bullying issues. People who have bullied me got no consequences other then the teachers and or the principle talking with them which did not help anything. I got suspended right before the school year ended for a very illogical reason while bullies never even get a note home. I was lucky enough to have a pretty great teacher while attending there.

I went to that school since 2nd grade all the way to 8th. It was an okay school, but they don’t really do anything about bullying. I remember I was literally balling my eyes out at school, and Mrs. O’Connell just asked “are you okay?” And didn’t even ask me what had happened..the best teachers there by far are mrs. Francis, mrs.Paul and Mrs. Dungey, that’s the only reason I wanna go back to that school. I just wanna see those teachers one last time
