Everything about our experience was great, pizzas were made perfectly, pizza cheese bread thing was bomb, price was good and great value. Service was also very good from ordering to pick up. Great job.

We stopped at A1 pizza on the way back from a full day of hiking in Cabot Trail, and I gotta say this place really hit the spot. Got the 18” pizza + 16” garlic fingers (its a huge cheesy garlic bread pizza, super delicious) and donair sauce. They were very generous with our toppings, and the tomato sauce was flavourful, definitely not your average red sauce. For 4 people, we had more than enough food. We’ve tried lots of different pizza places as we’re from Toronto but A1 Pizza really is true to its name! Will be back!

If you’re expecting a homemade pizza dough/ crust then this is not the place, at least not the pizza I was served. The pizza is one of those conveyor belt pizzas (you can see it being baked and coming out the other end of the belt when you are at the counter) just like Pizza Hut, Greco or Pizza Delight, it’s not a homemade pizza at all. But it did cost less than I expected to pay, only $28 for an 18 inch with the works. The works was mostly chunks of beef and some sort of hmm ham? , good amount of green pepper but not much else on it. It filled the hole in my belly but again- it’s not an authentic pizza like you would get at most family owned pizza shops so make sure that’s what you want before ordering the pizza.

My favorite donair and pizza place.
**edit** Will have to downgrade from a 5 star to a 1 star review, went in on September 21st, 2022 to get what was my favorite pizza a Bubba Donair pizza . The donair meat was like jerky, the cheese was completely dried out it had no stretchy goodness. The dough I had to tear off peices by bitting down and pulling. My jaw was sore after eating it. Is there different management there now? Too bad

We've ordered takeout from A1 several times now and have been consistently impressed. The garlic fingers are great and the pizza is always loaded with toppings and cooked just right. Their donair sauce is fantastic to boot. If you're in Port Hawkesbury, do yourself a favour, try A1, you'll be glad you did.

It is pretty sad when they go to my next door neighbor's house and deliver food which is not a business if somebody calls in with an order they refused to deliver I will never eat there again and to the pizza is half the time on the bottom there's black stuff that's why I only eat toppings I wouldn't even give them a one starts a half a star cuz of their service and the quality of their food

$4.00 for a Large Slice of Pizza, and it tastes amazing. They have a drive through for pizza slices and drinks; if you call ahead they will make anything you wish and have it ready at the drive through window when you arrive….one late night I was driving into Port Hawkesbury at around 11:15pm….called ahead and the staff were happy to have slices ready for us to pick up at the drive through….a great team to deal with, they are always happy to see you and as mentioned, the Pizza is amazing….comes on a plate with foil covering it so it stays warm on my drive home after work too. Stop by and be amazed at what great pizza can do for you.
