Great experience with academy for mathematics and English. My daughter went from hating math to actually liking it. Her marks have also improved significantly from failing grades to 80s-90s and even got 100 percent on a recent math test. Staff are very friendly.

After trying a few tutors on line and another couple of academies, finally found a place where my son really enjoys going to. After an excellent grade 9 destreamed math, he hit a wall in grade 10 academic math(teachers had recommended this). He had a very hard time understanding the math at school, gave up trying to do homework and his mental health was deteriorating by the day. Yet another Google search and brought us here. Instructors are briliant young talented future teachers who seem to enjoy helping children. They follow Ontario curriculum and also have a system which works very well, helping filling gaps that the school (and kids alike) tend to leave unfulfilled. My wife and I now are very happy with our son's progress, going from a failing 45% mark to a 72%. Not only that, but his morale drastically improved and returned to being himself again, confident and happy teenager. From what we have experienced, we are going to continue to support our son throughout his high school, confident that Florin and his wonderful staff will continue to do as well. We consider ourselves lucky to have found them and if your situation sounds a little like ours, DO give it a try. Be patient, get the kids to do the work assigned and stay positive. I normally don’t write reviews but this one definitely deserve it!! I was really stressed about finding the right place for my son, he is 8 years old we just started two weeks ago and I have to say I am very happy to hear my son tell me how much he loves going here and getting the help from all the amazing tutors, including the owner Florin here. Jessica your amazing at what you do. Thank you so much! Everyone is very nice and welcoming. My son is very happy that he is getting perfect on his spelling test from school now.😊

I recommend the Academy for Mathematics & English from Hamilton to all the parents who would like to see that their child is enjoying learning and doing at home extra homework.

The program started with a free evaluation. Based on the result from the evaluation, Florin, the director of the center, recommended us what program we should enroll our son in order to get the best results. And we follow his advice and we are happy to see our son improved in three months his grades at school. This was a surprise as we didn’t expect to see the results so fast.

The price is affordable and the team there is working hard to push my kid to be at his best.

One of the things which l like about is that the session is 1 hour. If it would be less like 30 or 45 min the students will not have enough time to ask questions and go though their challenges. Not every challenge can be overcome in 10 min, especially at math or comprehension or writing an essay at English. By having one full hour in learning and going though concepts gives more time to tutors and students to communicate so the students can master the concepts.

And on a personal note, I would have like to go to a center like that in my school years. It wasn’t meant for me to have the benefit of this qualitative tutoring program but I am glad that my child has the benefit of improving his Math and English concepts at Academy for Mathematics & English from Hamilton.

My 5 year old daughter has been attending after school lessons at this location for over 6months. I have seen a great improvement in my daughter's reading confidence as well as her ability to tackle math problems. Florin and his team have been supportive in my daughter's learning. They constantly challenge and encourage her so she has grown tremendously since she began. I would definitely recommend this centre.
