I joined the campus in Red Deer as an HCA instructor approximately 1.5 months ago. To date, I am having an amazing experience. The ladies in the Red Deer office (Laurie, Amanda, Melissa, Rebecca & Rosemary) all welcomed me with open arms. They continue to support me along the way. Thank you ladies!

Flora Sorani, RN is an amazing, well educated, leader and mentor. The training, guidance, and ongoing support that this lady has provided me with is outstanding! When I first started in my position, I did not know a thing about Google Classroom. Now, I can navigate Google Classroom with ease, confidence and competence. Thank you Flora, you have truly set me up for success!

Finally, I would like to mention Mimsong Rosche, Preema Rodrigues, and Michelle Chin. A very big "Thank you!" to each of you! Your compassion, patience, guidance, and ongoing support is so very appreciated!

I have spent a year emailing a few different people in regard to changing my classes over to a different course when I realized that the one I chose was not for me last October. I was told that I had come to this realization early enough and they would transfer me to the course I was passionate about. Now they have the grant money that I have to pay back with nothing to show for it because no one ever helped me transfer. They even sent me an email reminder that I was tardy for classes last month, and when I questioned it, they said it was a mistake and someone would reach out to me. No one ever did. The lack of communication and care for my education was terrible.

Terrible terrible ,waste money, stay away from red deer branch , their student support is trash , useless , honestly they should be reported for their service , just a bunch of lazy girls sitting on desks and getting paid ,that's all. They never help , never do their job, all the learning coaches , advisors , they should never be working in educational field what so ever , too bad such schools still exist

Excellent Legal Assistant Teacher with Practical and Relevant Content
I am a former student of Joanne Peters, who taught the legal assistant ciruculam. I took the Legal Assistant Certification program in 2023/24. I am writing this review to share my positive experience with Joanne and to recommend her to anyone who wants to learn more about the legal field.

Joanne is a teacher who has a lot of knowledge and experience in the legal profession. She is also very friendly, approachable, and supportive of her students.

One of the best things about Joannes teaching was the practical and relevant content that she delivered. She used real-life examples and cases to illustrate the concepts and principles of legal research and writing. She also assigned us various projects and assignments that simulated the tasks and challenges that legal assistants face in their work.

I learned a lot from Joanne and I feel more confident and prepared to work as a legal assistant.

At first I liked it, the facilitators and the individual help is great, but I don't think it's worth pulling out a loan. You're not guaranteed a job. Support is gone after a couple of months and the diploma is NOT recognized. Think of this as an option for upgrading or keeping busy.

I went to Academy of Learning to start Community Service Addictions Worker March 2018. So happy that I've come a long way and pulled through every class and am going to graduate in March! I'm done my classes in less than two weeks and it was so easy to find my own practicum placement! Bobbi is such an incredible instructor, Amanda has been a huge help and so amazing since the beginning! Amanda did a phenomenal job helping me with the whole process of starting, enrolling, taking the entrance exam and made it completely painless with the whole student loan process and helped me every step of the way. Thank you guys so much for this beautiful life changing opportunity! I highly recommend going to this college and you won't regret if you do!!

The bonus I find with Academy of Learning is instead of being in school for 8pm-4pm and in classes all day ( at other schools ) its only 3 hours of class a day, you learn everything and actually have more of a life with your family and work. I can't wait to start all over again with Educational Assistant

So going to split this review in half since I both like and hate it.

So, let's get the good out of the way; I like the facilitators and the learning style. I like being able to study at your own pace and basically teach yourself and then do the exams. Facilitators are nice and fantastic people if you need help.

Unfortunately, I haven't found one job in my fields of studying (Went for Computerized Accounting and Business Administration) I've done fairly well on both as I graduated at 85% in Business and 90% in Computerized Accounting and graduated with honors, I've won multiple awards, and was even student of the month....and yet finding work is impossible.

At first the Staff do what they can to help you by fixing your resume, your cover letter and sending you jobs but after about a month or two they eventually give up.

So yeah; I like the people and the course work but I wouldn't hold out on getting a job with that diploma

I was very nervous to enroll as a mature student, returning to school after ten years! The red deer campus staff have been so supportive, well structured, informative and are really there for their students. I really am enjoying classes and the instructors! I would highly recommend this campus for anyone who has a desire to better themselves and get the education they really want for the career they want! I am excited for this journey and can't wait to see where I end up!
