I have been coming here for my hair for many many years now !! I am pleased every time and if something is not what I wanted they always try to get what I wanted the next time . The instructors & teachers are the BEST . Lori is absolutely awesome and I really like the new teacher they have Melanie.

I recommend coming here if you have the time and want to feel pampered for one day. The best part is that you help a student get more experience and lastly you save some money it’s a WIN WIN 😍

I had my hair cut there for my first time today and was very pleased with the results. They were doing some colours and they also have facials so there are a lot of things they offer. They are students but the teachers and instructors are there to advise and help. I will definitely be going back!

Absolutely do not go to this school. It's a waste of time and money. The teachers don't care about your education and play favorites, which plays into a huge clique environment. They haven't updated their services, so you are learning things from when they were first popular in the 1950s. Their notes are riddled with racial biases because they have not been updated. You dont learn GelX, hard wax, you half learn lash extensions, zero facial product knowledge. We had to beg them to give us a lash kit and teach us brow lamination, which they taught incorrectly. All medical equipment is half broken and ancient. The only review of the actual school is written by someone who works for the company. Don't waste your time and money here. TRUST ME!!

Disappointing Experience at Alberta Academy of Aesthetics

I had high hopes for Alberta Academy of aesthetics, but unfortunately, my experience turned out to be extremely disappointing. From the moment I enrolled, it became evident that the school's promises did not match reality. Here are the key reasons why I would not recommend this school:

1. Lack of Qualified Instructors: The instructors at were inadequately trained and lacked the expertise needed to effectively teach the subjects. Their knowledge seemed limited, and they often struggled to answer basic questions. This hindered my learning experience and left me feeling frustrated and unfulfilled.

2.Poor Facilities and Resources: The school's facilities were subpar, to say the least. The classrooms were cramped and lacked proper equipment, making it difficult to practice and develop skills effectively. Additionally, the resources available to students were limited, making it challenging to explore and expand our knowledge beyond the classroom.

3. Inadequate Support and Communication: The school's administration and staff demonstrated a lack of responsiveness and support. It was incredibly frustrating when trying to seek guidance or address concerns. This lack of communication created a sense of disconnect and left me feeling unsupported throughout my time at the school.

4. Unfulfilled Promises: made several promises during the enrollment process that they failed to deliver on. It felt like the school was more interested in enrolling students than providing them with a valuable and fulfilling education.

5. Lack of professionalism within teachers, teachers got away with whatever they wanted talking about inappropriate things, making inappropriate comments about people and students/past students.

Overall, my experience at Alberta Academy of aesthetics was disappointing and did not meet my expectations. I would advise anyone considering this school to thoroughly research and consider other options that can provide a more comprehensive and rewarding educational experience.

The support staff is always pleasant and friendly. I feel the instructors are really good. They spend the time with each student to make sure the service is done right. I appreciate the time it took to have my services done. If I was in a hurry I would go to a spa and pay 5 times as much. Very happy with my experience and with the facility. I hear they are moving to a new location still in West Edmonton Mall adding more programs like make up and hair. I look forward to trying every service. Best Academy in Edmonton by far. I would recommend it to everyone. Great prices too.

I've had my hair done by Nicole many times and she always does a phenomenal job! She always gives me tips so I can get the salon quality everyday. and unlike most other hairstylists she actually cares about keeping my hair HEALTHY, rather than killing it just to make the big bucks. I've come in and constantly seen fabulous work by her. Don't let some snobby customers bad reviews fool you, try them for yourself. They are always very accommodating, and make sure to give you all the information they possibly can so your confident going in to your service. The students there are also very friendly, extremely professional, and work very hard to give you the best they can. I absolutely recommend Alberta Academy and Nicole to everyone and anyone.

I have been receiving services for several years - pedicures, manicures, facials - but largely waxing. The prices are incredible and the present location very convenient. The staff is pleasant and the students always try their best. No negative experiences to report. I recommend them to family and friends and have given gift certificates as presents on several occasions. I recommend giving them a try!

Great experience, highly recommend if you desire more personable learning. Lori is an amazing educator if you're looking into the hair program. ✌ (have not enrolled in the Aesthetics yet, but the teachers are all professional and fun to be around)
