My son went here for 2 years and it was one of the most beautiful schools I’ve ever been to. Every staff member or teacher I spoke with was incredibly kind. A special shoutout to Miss. Dunkley- she made my sons Grade 1 year so special. She is an amazing teacher. I would recommend this school to absolutely every parent!

As a father of three kids, I've had the chance to compare many schools in Edmonton, where the management is good at communicating and solving problems, Aleda Paterson can be described with one word “DISASTER”. The staff at other schools show they care about creating a good learning environment, something that's missing at Aleda Paterson. The administration at Aleda Paterson doesn't handle important issues quickly and in accordance with all provincial laws, regulations. Communication with parents is poor, and we often don't get important updates or information on time, leaving us confused and frustrated. The school doesn’t follow up, so issues keep happening, which hurts the students' learning experience.
Think twice before you are going enrol your kid in this school.

The Aleda Patterson school and school's infrastructure is severely lacking, particularly in providing adequate parking for parents. There is no a proper parking lot designed and built for parents at all. Every morning many parents are forced to park in spaces designated for school teachers, school buses, and even near fire hydrants, pedestrian crossings, and on road bends. It creates a chaotic situation every morning, with school officials and City of Edmonton parking officers issuing tickets due to the insufficient parent's parking. In addition, there's a constant risk of accidents, as school buses and parents' cars narrowly avoiding collisions.

I wonder if this situation was intentionally orchestrated to generate additional revenue from parking fines, burdening Alberta taxpayers and keeping parking officers occupied. I have strong feelings that the school wasn't built for kids and parents, I got the feeling that it was built for teachers and the City revenue generation from parent's parking tickets. This situation is simply unbelievable...

Moreover, there was a terrifying incident where my daughter nearly got hurt on the playground after being pushed by another child. While it’s common for children to engage in physical play, the decision to have large, sharp rocks on a playground is absolutely irresponsible and dangerous. Where are the school authorities in addressing these issues? And what about the provincial authorities? Has there been any oversight or inspection of the playground's construction?

Это отличная школа ,мой ребенок пошел сюда в первый класс ,будучи эмигрантом из Украины .Он получил невероятную поддержу в адаптации ,завел много новых друзей ,а его учитель Miss Elliott стала для него больше чем просто учитель ,она всегда помогала и поддерживала моего сына и дала хорошие знания .Прекрасная школа с отличными людьми и настоящими профессионалами
