W school, made lots of friends and the teachers were extremely friendly. Only downside is that the students from grade 11 to 12, some of them like to vape and smoke in the bathrooms especially the boys bathroom which concerned me a bit. Overall Ancaster High is one of the best high schools on planet earth and I highly recommend that your kid goes here because the education is also very good.

School is full of amateurs that are inconsiderate and do not respect school grounds. These individuals often leave trash lying around, vandalize school property, and disrupt the learning environment for others. It is important for students to understand the impact of their actions and the importance of showing respect for their school and the people around them. By being mindful of their behavior and taking responsibility for their actions, students can create a more positive and productive school environment for everyone.

Went here for my daughter's soccer game. The field is fantastic, but the parking lot is brutal. Potholes everywhere..

During my initial year, I had an extremely unpleasant experience. The atmosphere was lackluster, and the teachers appeared disengaged. There was a concerning incident where my bus didn't bring me home on time, prompting my parents to consider involving the police. The school itself gave off an unsettling vibe. I felt like I gained nothing from the classes, reflected in my low grades. As a female student, I felt unsafe due to continuous harassment and inappropriate comments. The restrooms were unsanitary, and students were highly involved in drugs activities.
Since the tenth grade, I've been a full-time e-learning student, and my academic performance has exponentially improved. For students facing similar challenges, my recommendation is to opt for e-learning and prioritize their mental well-being.
Edit: For those currently contemplating e-Learning as a viable option, please visit the Xello website and choose the e-Learning courses available in the "Course Planner" section. There will be a small "eL" written beside the course code.

The principal is a sexist, misogynistic disgusting excuse of a human being. She would constantly harass my best friend and I, following in us in the hallways, following us into the bathrooms, threatening us, calling us names, calling us into her office just to berate us (we have it all on video), It got to the point where we just couldn’t stand her behaviour anymore so we both had to switch schools. As a punishment for a small altercation I got into, Said principal only allowed me access to one hallway in the entire school and threatened to expel me if I went in any bathroom outside of the designated hallway, which is disgusting. The teachers there would also tell us that we wouldn’t go anywhere in life and would never make it out of grade 11 (also have on video), The treatment we received from staff members gave us so much anxiety and stress to the point we stopped going to school at all because we were intimidated so harshly by the principal and other teachers. This school is so unsupportive and if you’re a parent thinking about sending your child to this “diverse art school”, please think again unless you want your child to grow up in a school where making mistakes or not being a straight A student defines who they are and how they deserve to get treated.

First-rate High School. The Alumni speak volumes about this school. It has an excellent history and tradition. Their students have gone on to do great things. This High School makes available to each student all the tools necessary to succeed in life and their sports facilities and teams are wonderful.
The negative reviews are clearly written by disgruntled parents/students.

I went to ahs for the day in the life thing. TELL ME WHY it smelled so bad, it smelled like concrete and pads. The skl is so ugly and the students looks like they would never survive in this world. Pls don’t make me go here…

It’s been 2 years since my last review here. A lot has changed since then. It’s in the middle of COVID and most students do not have their masks up to their noses. The water isn’t drinkable, it doesn’t taste well either. The cafeteria food is atrocious. (The cafeteria is closed rn.) Some teachers are nice (like the ones I have rn.) the bathrooms are in terrible condition as well.
