Gave me the run around and never actually seen a vet. (Don't believe they ever intended on helping my dog) Got me for 2 test fees and then the technician called to cancel my dogs surgery appointment and said that to feed him liver and come back in a month.
Went to sydney animal hospital right after. Seen them Monday and my sog had his surgery on Friday.

Trust me.
Stay away from av vet in Port
hawkesbury. Scammers.

What a breath of fresh air it is to be a client of Dr. Veinot’s practice. She is so knowledgeable and kind, and fun. The clinic has a happy, joyful energy about it, and you can tell everyone respects each other and enjoys working together. Furthermore, she has exceptional, friendly, professional staff running the front and I feel like we are so well taken care of at this clinic. Worth every minute of the drive from Antigonish. Big love for everyone at AV!

This clinic has been amazing to us. They were there for us from basic check ups, to our animals having to stay multiple nights. When our kitty became sick very fast and sudden, they were very caring and there for every moment of the process. They did everything they could to save our kitty, even during the multiple late night calls they were very kind, helpful and caring. When it came time to make the sad heartbreaking call to put our kitty to sleep, all the staff were so kind and compassionate. All the staff are very great.

All the staff are all amazing. Their knowledge, compassion, understanding and care are second to none. Having just lost my elderly dog of 13 or so years, only 4 days ago, I could not have received better end of life care for my amazing friend. It was an emergency on a weekend and their attentiveness was exactly what was required. Their support was greatly appreciated.
