Built in 2004 to celebrate Beaverlodge’s 75th anniversary, it’s a quirky 15-foot-tall sculpture that makes for great photos and a bit of local history. The site includes interpretive signs about the beaver’s role in the region and the town itself, which adds context beyond just the novelty. It’s open 24/7, easy to access right off the highway, and there’s parking nearby. While it’s a quick stop, it’s one of those classic small-town attractions that gives the community its charm.

Great little spot to pull over and have some fun on your road trip. You can even send your photo to the town website. A road side attraction that will make you laugh. It is so Canadian.

There's nothing like driving down the road and coming across a giant beaver. I had to do a u turn to see it.

The town of Beaverlodge wanted something to attract a little attention. I've seen a lot of bear statues, taxidermy, etc. but this is the first of a beaver.

The funny part about it is the location of the dentist's office directly behind the beaver. I think those incisors can use some attention.

Be careful if your vehicle is low to the ground. Pulling in has a huge drop to it. Better pulling off on one of the service roads and coming from the back and going out that way.

I love the tough, no-nonsense look of this giant beaver sculpture. While Canada's national animal is often portrayed as mild and polite, there was something refreshing (and amusing) of seeing one of our main national symbols portrayed in a serious light.

Of all the beavers I've had the pleasure of enjoying... this one is the biggest. The selfie stand was a nice touch, more beavers should be as appreciative of their admirers. This one could use a little maintenance on its backside, being a public spectacle seems to have taken its toll, Luckily, the worn area is not visible in your selfies.
