It use to be great coming here but I've noticed the last few years they seem to push there LGBTQ agenda onto people by inviting drag queens to read to young children as young as 4. I get kids like to dress up, but let kids be kids. It's good they have a pride group for teens, I would like to see them extend more to programs in the local high schools and in the community in general. I applaud them for destigmatizing the homeless and vulnerable sector but if there's a way not to have kids exposed to addicts shooting drugs in the bathrooms or just that kind of heavy stuff to witness. I worry about what our youth are exposed to having been through stuff myself and I also don't feel that we need to billboard sexuality and drag queens. They have done really great to renovate the bottom level it feels brighter and looks bigger. The fact you can renew books for up to 9 weeks is AWESOME. I am proud for them for involving the disabled community by creating workshops, programs, and making things to rent out like bicycles and fishing rods accessible to them as well as the other members of the public.

Great library. It’s small, but it has a large table where you can sit with laptops or books. Good internet to work remotely. Staff really nice and welcoming. Super cozy. This was our first stop in our first time ever in Canada. Definitely set a really good precedent 🙂

I wanted to say that I loved this place but I absolutely can not. At first it was lovely. A person assisting another with how to use technology and her computer. But then it very quickly switched to a hang out spot for 9-13 people to convene in and swap goods after visiting the food bank, figure out where they are going next, warm up take a nap and wash up. Very distracting and not at all like libraries I have frequented in the past. I did ask the staff if it was always this crazy and they said that unfortunately it is.

Decent library with the essentials but not much else. I came here twice when I didn't have wifi and a few other times - but they were closed. A nice small library that is good for a study spot or a small meeting. I deducted a Star as the place is quite small and dated looking.

Visited the the Brockville public library was amazed how organized it was very clean . Also very good workshops for people in the community to learn of affective ways to live healthier effective lives ? way to go staff !

We recently held an event at the Brockville Public Library in the Buell Room. The staff were friendly and very helpful! Brandy was great to work with and made the process of renting the room seamless and easy. We will definitely use the library in the future for events and wanted to share our appreciation to their team!
