It’s a thrift store. So secondhand merchandise and clothing are available here. It’s well arranged and clean. The condition of the second hand stuff is good and the prices are reasonable. The store is clean and parking is available on the street. We did not buy anything at this time but we were impressed with the store and the friendly staff.

Dropped off several bags of donations (I always make sure all donations are clean and usable especially the toys). Staff was friendly and helpful and happy to know all the donations were good enough for them to put out. I shop there to and often find interesting and fun items.

I have been shopping here for my family since my kids were babies. Everyone who works here is pleasant and lovely to deal with. There is a great selection of baby/kid clothes & shoes and very reasonable, reliable and consistent pricing. It has made raising a young family very affordable. I also live that when we are finished with our gently used items, we take them down again to donate. Full circle!

Nice Thrift store here and also fairly priced and decently stocked. They have good pricing here a little better then Castaways.

During an unfortunate situation in May, we ended up with piles of things to bring for donation. After reading the reviews of Building Blocks we figured it was a great location.

There was a lady named Kym who because of the timing, (a little later in the day) made my grandmother feel incredibly awful for making a donation in the first place. Kym expressed very clearly her lack of desire to receive donations and the frustrations of having to do her job.

My grandmother left there feeling humiliated, heartbroken that she was unappreciated and frustrated.

Kym’s inability to maintain self-control is not what you want as the face of any business, regardless of if it’s volunteer based or not.

Fortunately for us we found an amazing little thrift store that we will bring our family business to that’s not far away. They welcome us excitedly and proudly each time we visit.

I’d also like to add that Kym went as far as contacting my grandmother over her private Facebook essentially but subtly blaming my grandma for misunderstanding her. It wasn’t even a decent apology to correct her behaviour. Yikes.

Always a good deal to be found at Building Blocks! Everything is appropriately priced for thrift items and they have regular sales on certain stock. Everything from kids clothes to housewares, board games, books, movies and in between. Appreciate the people who make this store tick especially since a lot of stores have gone for profit and are way overpriced for donated items.
