I took the PAL course taught by Martyne and wanted to share how exceptionally well it was taught. My reason for taking the course is that my husband holds both his PAL and RPAL, and we have firearms in our home. I wanted to obtain my PAL so I could be legally and safely responsible as well.

As someone who grew up in the city with no exposure to firearms or hunting, everything in the course was entirely new to me. Because of that, I found the subject a bit intimidating at first. However, Martyne created a learning environment that was both safety focused and supportive. She encouraged participation and critical thinking, and used real world examples to make complex topics easier to understand and apply.

Martyne has a deep understanding not only of the course material but also of the broader history and ethics surrounding firearms. I feel very privileged to have learned under her guidance. I left the course not only with the ability to apply for my PAL, but also with a deep respect and admiration for this accomplished woman. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in getting their PAL, I couldn’t have asked for a better teacher or a more positive learning experience.
