This facility has been a God-send. I know a lot of other reviewers have had very negative experiences, but we have found it to be an extremely helpful tool in our toolbox. We've been able to get diagnosises for our kids, get the right medications, access day programing, been referred to other resources to compliment counseling that was already happening, coordinate with the school to get accommodation, and yes, I had to admit one of my children for a stay. It was hard at the time, but they were so good walking the path with us and helping us hit reset so we could carry on.

The facility isn't a be-all-end-all. It's part of a continuum of care to wrap around our kids. It should be treated as such. Don't be afraid to advocate for your kid - my questions and concern were always addressed and patiently worked through. In the end, we always got to where we needed to be.

My only complaint is that the wait can be very long to be seen. So many families could benefit from more staff, more programming and more resources. That is not the facility's fault, however.

My 8 year old son (Autistic with ADHD and anxiety) was invited to participate in CATC's coping skills course. My son was eager to go because it would give him the opportunity to meet fellow neurodivergent kids in the community. He attended two sessions - which he says he enjoyed - and the next day I received a call saying that he was no longer invited to the club; I was told that they were unable to support him. Are you kidding me? Yes, my son has additional needs (um...that's why he was invited into the club in the first place, right?) and the staff at CATC are supposed to be "experts" in the field of child and adolescent treatment! I thought that they would be an INCLUSIVE organization, but my disabled child was rejected by them! It fills me with anger and despair.

If CATC is going to extend invitations for children struggling with emotional regulation to participate in their their programs, they
had better be sure that they can SUPPORT the child first! My son experiences enough rejection as it is! Being invited to participate in a group (he doesn't get a lot of invitations to participate in anything) only to be told that he is not welcome - at a place that claims to care about children and their wellbeing - is infuriating to say the least. With the proper supports, my son can thrive.

Clearly CATC has very little understanding of Autism (there is a sad lack of resources in this community for families with Autistic members). Not only was there no intake process at CATC, to see if my son was a good fit for the program, they did not even ASK for my advice, insights or support. Instead of asking me how to best support him, or asking if I could attend the program with him, he was kicked out. What does that teach him? How do they suppose my child feels, being rejected by them? What impact do they think they have had on MY mental health, as a mother of a disabled child? Shame on you CATC.

I have been here in October, now I just have appointments every week with them, but with my stay here it was horrible. I was forced to take off my clothes when I clearly told them no, instead of the gown that I had to put on they gave me a blanket Then they said "oh.. sorry. Wrong one." Then did not give me the gown after still. One of them was my nurse for the day and instead of knocking on the door like the other ones did, she just opened it and yelled at me saying "GET OUT.", she was another person's nurse too and I was seeing if she was going to do the same thing to her and she did. When I wanted to call my mom in the hours that we were aloud to the girl with the grey very long hair just sent me to my room for no reason. She also went into my room and said "why are you even in here anyway?" And with one of the other nurses who wasn't even my nurse that day she grabbed my arm leaving it red forcing me to go to listen to this presentation only because there wasn't that many people there. And with the psychiatrist there I wouldn't even call them a psychiatrist, I had to see with the girl one, and I barely had any time to talk because she kept cutting me off, and just diagnosed me with random things and put me on a random medication. Do not recommend.

Basically I haven't been here or experience it but my close friend has she told me everything what happened in there. They Dynosed her with things she definitely didn't have? They were mean to everyone she said only 1 nurse was nice. She was pulled out of school and put her in a car to Brandon and I had no clue what happened with her nobody knew. She told me she saw a teen girl get dragged by Security and held down. She said lots of screaming.

this place is okay, but pretty depressing. the councillor i have is very nice to me. the thing is they really like to just hand out pills like candy. it takes me a long time to adjust and it ends up making my depression and anxiety worse…i wouldn’t really blame them for that but i think they need to think about the kids more, they ask me personal questions infront of my parents and it makes a very uncomfortable situation. work on this PLEASE.

Honestly I don't remember that much, since it happened a year ago, but it wasn't the bad, despite what other reviews said, I was never forced to take off my clothes, and the only cameras I remember seeing were in the main living area. TV was allowed, there were even movie nights, phones, tablets etc weren't allowed however, which was kind of a blessing in disguise for someone who's addicted to stuff like that. I still got to see my family, they even stayed in brandon while I was there. I don't have anything to say about the food, as I rarely ate.

Staff are rude and don’t really seem to care and i was forced to take my clothes off by 5 security guards that were men i asked for a women nurse and they said i had no rights because i didn’t “ follow rules “ i have bruises all over me now Because i didn’t go into my room when the nurses told me to so they called security. And when they put me into that conclusion room down the hall by the so called “ school “ they lied to me saying it was the medicine i had as a prescription but it was something different and they sedated me
It doesn’t help me and never did. They abuse kids at night theres a staff named debbie and she yells at the kids there or gets rude. Its not okay. Its a sick place to be in. Please do not send your children there!! The reviews are terrible they don’t help! You will just get more traumatized.
