Beautiful campus, and lots of history and nice buildings. Cadets are professional but can party like no tomorrow. If you want to come out come during reunion weekend to watch the obstical course and see the college at its best.

Tourists are not allowed to enter the Military Academy. The location is very good and the scenery is beautiful. Students often come out for training.

If you value your mental health, do not become a student here. I was in an environmental/chemistry graduate program here with an extremely toxic and abusive supervisor (who also happened to be Head of Graduate Studies). She purposefully sabotaged my degree and her psychological abuse nearly caused me to join the abysmally high suicide statistics at RMC. The university’s accessibility accommodations office is a joke (it’s literally one person, who has no idea what they are doing). RMC doesn’t care about its students’ mental health. They have only just recently started a program aimed at reducing sexual assault (by putting up posters that say “it’s bad, don’t do it”… wow, good job), and they have no meaningful mental health supports on campus. The leadership is ineffectual at best, and power-tripping psychopaths at worst. Stay away.

This is the worst place to be. I was at RMC for three years, you'll love the first year because of the solidarity in your squadron after the orientation program (FYOP) but starting in your third year especially you start to feel the effects of wear. The leadership system is inefficient and puts power-hunger teenagers in charge. You are put down if you're not a great athlete and especially if you fail the physical fitness requirements (even though they insist they'll help you pass them). The classes are mediocre and yield no credits if you choose to study elsewhere, so you've lost a couple of years of your time. The food is so horrible it's a running joke amongst students. Food is often moldy or rotten. And francophones are disadvantaged and forced to speak in English most of the time since most staff are not bilingual. What a bilingual institution!
Mental health is not addressed even though it is a very big issue at RMC. Suicides and attempts are hidden from the public and you only know about them if you know the person directly. This place is not transparent at all, it is very dishonest and festering grounds for toxicity and depression. Don't believe me? Go read the Independent External Comprehensive Review of the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Armed Forces (Arbour Report), released in summer of 2022.
If you have any respect for yourself, do not come here. Unless you love guns and hypocrisy, of course. In which case, by all means, come, you will love this place!

Still can't get over the almost total evidence of security. Hope it can stay that way. If you have time take a walk around the outside of the campus. Great views of the city, Fort Henry and the beginning of the St Lawrence/Thousand islands. Another excellent free tourist activity.

Filip Soczewski (Fil)

Beautiful campus. Explored it once with the ex-boyfriend, once alone when I resided in Kingston. Wish I took advantage of the chance to attend and receive a free education in a meaningful field and from an internationally recognized organization/institution. I really do wish I had chosen to go somewhere you can truly make a difference in society instead of going the overhyped and unaffordable Queen's route across the rusty drawbridge. Either way, I still attempt to be of service to others and my community throughout my daily struggle and quest for a lasting peace and a sustainable future. Although having had a stable income and proper working conditions as stipulated by the occupational health and safety act upon graduation would have really made quite a difference in my life. They say it's never too late but given my physical ailments from exposure to hazardous materials and toxic individuals (facts that overpaid and inept/illegitimately qualified "medical practitioners" have been ignoring) leads me to think fulfilling my dream to one day become wise in decision making and lead/inspire others through setting a positive example won't be possible due to poor health and severe combat fatigue.
