Came in for an emergency, and left with a profound understanding of eternity. Like most hospitals here in CA, if you have 8-10 hours to spare for quiet contemplation and people-watching, this is the place for you. The eventual medical attention was a brief interruption to my extended stay.

I had 2 TKT this past 6 months via Concordia Hip/Knee transplant Ctre. I had an issue with my latest that was performed July 2. I enquired advise, called my Surgeons office, advised via taped message to go to Urgent Care, no call back from Surgeon assistant. Went to Concordia Urgent Care Sept 23, arrived at 7am left at 1400. To my dismay I was not in the care of a Dr but a Nurse Practitioner, at an Urgent Care a Dr would have been anticipated, a walk in Clinic there are Dr. Advised my Surgeons office that I was at Urgent Care, no call back on how I feel! With 2 Major surgeries within 5 months, more of a personnel care/enquiry would have been appreciated!

Yeah not a hospital you wanna go to. I was treated poorly. In my 24 hours of being there i was only checked on once even tho I tried getting a nurses attention that breathing was getting difficult and I felt i was in shock from my foot being broken.... they denied there being a brake when clearly it was disfigured and extremely painful. They wouldn't help with transportation other then a bus ticket (which they lied about taxi slips, that they dont give those out. they had a book!!) It took them 4 hours after being discharged for them to finally help me get home. Also the two security guards where speaking about me in their language ( I used a translator but also know a bit of it) they called me a pathetic waste of space and other nasty comments I cant say.

Absolutely — here’s the same review with a reined-in closing paragraph that keeps it sharp but more grounded:

---

**⭐ 1 star – Absolutely pointless visit**

Came to Concordia Extended Care Clinic tonight for foot pain. I was concerned an old fracture had re-injured and my family doctor is currently on vacation.

I waited over an hour past my scheduled time — fine, not ideal, but that wasn’t the issue.

The doctor took one quick look, pressed on my foot twice, and told me it wasn’t broken and that it would be “impossible to still feel pain there.” Zero explanation, zero curiosity. Just full-on dismissal and gaslighting with a side of attitude.

He sent me for an X-ray… of the wrong foot. I had to correct the tech. When I asked what happens next, I was told the X-rays wouldn’t even be available for 3–4 days, and that I should follow up with my family doctor next week. You know — the one who’s on vacation.

No diagnosis. No treatment plan. No care instructions. Just vague instructions to wait and follow up elsewhere.

This felt like a complete waste of time and a missed opportunity to actually help someone in pain.

All Canadians know that the medical system here is one of the worst, even though it’s free. Nobody really cares if you’re stuck waiting 15 hours just to see a doctor. Honestly, I’d rather pay a fee for a visit than sit that long. The worst part is you can’t even leave your seat to use the washroom or have someone hold your place, or else you lose your spot and have to start over. If things don’t change, I’d rather just go to Seven Oaks—it was still a 6-hour wait, but at least better than 15.

Addition to that there are flies roaming around here.

Came in because I was violently SAd and was scared and injured and needed resources. I am sat in front of the triage nurse and for the first time disclosing to another person the horrible trauma I just went through, I tell her I was assaulted and she scoffs at me and says "if you were assaulted why didn't you call an ambulance while he was assaulting you, coming in now was the stupidest thing you could've done." She then said "I guess we could get a nurse to look after you" I waited for 5 hours until a human being checked up on me and finally behind a curtain with other people in the room I had to tell the doctor that I was SAd because she thought I was just there for neck pain. She immediately did the right thing and sent me to HSC for proper treatment, who then informed me that I was supposed to be sent there immediately and not made to wait in a chair in Concordia for 5 hours. I now have permanent fear of going in for treatment. This is all because of ONE individual who didn’t take me seriously the first time I told my story.

Do not go here. Went to get my broken shoulder and knee checked up after I got an xray done at Corydon xray, and there I learnt that I have an undisplaced fracture in my left shoulder glenoid neck, and my left knee has a large lipohemarthrosis and large avulsion with a 4mm gap. when I went to this hospital I was checked in put in a wheelchair then I sat in the waiting room for 4-5hours, while my injured leg was getting its circulation cut off. I told 3 different nurses that my leg’s circulation was getting cut off because of the wheelchair and all they said was “ya they’re not good chairs” and walked away. Then after 4-5hours finally was moved to the back, than sat there for another 2hours just watching them screw around and do nothing never once saw a doctor, but after all that I had to leave cause I didn’t expect to be there for 6-7 hours and I had other stuff I needed to do. If u got a full day or two you can go here but I don’t recommend going here they don’t care about actually helping you and you’ll be waiting for hours upon hours.

Was taken in for gallbladder issues. Was taken here by ambulance where the paramedic told one of the nurses I had lost 74 lbs in the last 12 months (without trying just because I was sick) - the nurse (who did not know the issue nor why I was throwing up) looked at me and very snotily said “She could stand to lose some more.” I’ve never been so uncomfortable at a hospital in my life, like I wasn’t already suffering to begin with she has to fat shame me? After everything I went through that day I don’t remember her name otherwise I would file a complaint.
