Prices are outrageous. I went in for freezer bags and when I turned around there was apple sauce and canned fruit and the prices left me in shock. One can of fruit was almost $7!! For one can! $20 for a box of apple sauce pouches. I have a rule to never buy full price at Coop, because when things go on sale, it is clear how sickening the price gouging is! And even then, the sale prices are the same as regular price in city centers. It makes no sense! How are people supposed to shop local when we can buy a tank of gas AND all of our groceries in city centers for cheaper than shopping locally in Barrhead?

This store is wonderful. The staff are pleasant and treat everyone with decency respect and equality without judgment. They have a large selection of many items their produce is fresh and stocked. Their cheese. Selection is large and stocked. Their meat selection is also large and is fresh. I’ve never had any issues with their meat Cheese produce or any other items. They communicate about stock shortages. They are very helpful but not overbearing or pushy. They also are more than willing to help you carry your stuff out without making you feel uncomfortable. It’s the place I predominantly shop.

First Tuesday of the month is a great day to get your extra stuff for the month with the extra discount being applied. Just got a ton of meat and was able to pay with our bottle money!

Meat department goes above and beyond by custom cutting our meat and even double wrapping it in freezer ready amounts at no extra cost with friendly & helpful service.

They also have an interesting selection of specialty pops on a regular basis, as well as some interesting snack selections!

With all the recent tariff threats I've made the decision to avoid American products. Thankfully, this Coop had plenty of Canada made products and a wide variety. A little pricier than in the city but in my opinion, now worth it.
They are my new go to.

Clean, nice selection of products, very nice stuff, BUT the management has to talk to an electrician. I couldn't open any fridge today without electrical charge, and ended up shopping at an other store...

UPDATE: they solved the issue. 5 stars!
