My basement flooded and there’s black mold everywhere. I need somewhere to stay for awhile and was housed through the crisis center program at the knight’s inn back in 2021.

I called asking if it’s possible to be housed there again temporarily while they renovate my apartment since I have nowhere else to go and I’m on OW. Can’t really afford my rent as it is.

The lady speaking, I think her name was Heather, was very disinterested the second she picked up the phone. She was sooo condescending. She told me they don’t provide housing at the knight’s inn, which was strange- last April I had been staying there (and went into credit card debt to afford the room) and a family next door to me said the crisis center had housed them here.

I asked her why she would lie, and she said she didn’t. She said I’m being aggressive and accusing her of lying, which I did, because she did in fact lie. I asked her; does the crisis center house people at the knight’s inn, yes or no.

She said yes. I said thank you, you did lie, and asked her why. She just slammed the phone onto the table. Didn’t even hang up.

Unprofessional. They treat you like dirt. They don’t have any empathy for any situation you could possibly be in, they just want to get the hours on their resume then move on to bigger better jobs in social work and outreach. Rude, unprofessional, I hope they get better staff than this. You’re working with the most vulnerable people in this town and this is how you treat them? Shame.

As a victem of violence, suffering from PDST these last 6 months. I asked for a little support. Another home I needed quick at a reasonable rent as I am being terrorized by the building security. My worker Kelly said help was here. Within a week she had found some places to consider but when she came with application papers only one place she had as a friend of hers managed a complex: $1100.000 a month the rent, not at all reasonable for me alone. I then found a place, said the rent I had and a truck, help was all I did need. An advocate she was to be through this she did asure me. Moving day was Monday the 2nd and here I still sit as she did leave me hanging waiting for help that was not coming. A text she threw me today.
Hey did they call you, did you get moved. Very unprofessional I have found this experience to be.

Stayed at Crisis Center for 5 months while looking for an apartment during COVID lockdown.

Joey the outreach staff assisted in finding affordable housing quickly.

All of the staff really care about their clients and do their best to assist in finding a place to call home.

Spent the better part of a summer being harassed by one of their clients. When I complained online one of their members started gaslighting and trying to say I was at fault
