While visiting my son and his family in Deep River , I broke my femur while skating at the Deep River Arena, and was taken to the Deep River and District Hospital by ambulance. My experience there was a wonderful combination of caring and competence. The staff was very friendly and knew their stuff. After a night in the ER, I was transported to Pembroke for surgery. Pembroke hospital was also great. After a successful surgery and 5 days of recuperation, I was sent back to Deep River for further convalescence and physio. Again, my experience was amazing. It is a small hospital, and has a very friendly feel to it. The staff are working their collective tails off, but are always friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The physiotherapist, Juan Carlos helped me to get mobile, and after a week I was discharged to my son's house until I was well enough to fly back to New Brunswick. It was only the second time I had ever been hospitalized, but they made a bad situation very bearable. The food was even pretty good. I was very impressed with the entire hospital and the people that work there.

Absolutely amazing with my 3 year old. Everyone was so patient with her throughout the whole process of being in emergency. I'm extremely appreciative of the staff at this hospital.

Obviously going to the hospital is typically a 0/10 but the staff here were so amazing. It was fast, everyone was kind and patient. Best hospital.

Brought my brother to ER on Oct 4th for bloodwork. Athena RN was so caring and compassionate and even though he was palliative, she listened and comforted him. He had a IV started by another gentle mannered RN. The doctor also was equally as professional. Our wait time was 15 min. And they immediately got him a stretcher for comfort. The hospital is very clean and quiet. I cannot thank the staff for giving my brother the respect he needed even though he was palliative, they addressed all of his concerns. Each of you are an asset to Deep River Hospital and you are truly angels🙏yours truly

What a great staff at this small hospital. We were on vacation, very far from home. Being a small hospital, they didn’t have the resources to treat my condition but they still gave me antibiotics to hold me over until I could drive home and see my doctor. dr Owen, the nursing staff, and the receptionist were so kind and friendly. Thank you deep river hospital for taking me seriously and looking after me!

Came here because my wife has extremely terrible morning sickness. The wait was short, and staff were quick and accommodating. An insane contrast compared to the Pembroke Hospital. Blood work and ultrasound were extremely quick as well.

Right up front, I will mention the names of the health care professionals who gave my mother, and treated me, so kindly and with such good care. The biggest thank you to Dr. Alikhan and nurses Katie and Madison who so competently cared for my elderly mother who had just taken quite a fall.

Another nurse Sarah was there who did not directly look after my mother but was just as friendly and kind.

All of you are a compliment to your profession and the epitome of an exemplary health care professional. I will never forget the empathetic and consoling words Madison offered me. She has such a kind and caring demeanour about her. You can't help but feel comforted just being in her presence. Dr. Alikhan was second to none and we felt we had a first rate, top-notch doctor with excellent knowledge and stellar bedside manner in front of us.

Dr. Alikhan, Madison and Katie answered our many questions and concerns with patience and kindness. How lucky this hospital is to have the fortune to have you on their staff. And how lucky are the patients and members of the public, to have such excellent health care available to them.

Once again, thank you for making an unfortunate event in our lives tolerable and manageable. You deserve every bit of praise and more blessings than this review can hold.

If you or a child have a disability do not go here or bring them to this hospital!! The staff have zero knowledge or compassion for the child, person, or caregivers. As a mother who brought her autistic child in I was appalled by the blatant lack of care towards my child's mental and emotional health. Aswell, my own physical well being when the care my child was receiving made him violent. I was forced to hold my child down. My child had never hurt me before his visit here. Staff witnessed extreme physical violence towards me for hours and didn't offer any help. Infact they ignored me, and my child. I'd gone here because I'd heard wait times were short. My visit proved otherwise. Locals recommend this hospital profusely, I will not be one of them. If you have a disability or care for someone who does I recommend Pembroke hospital. The staff there cares. They have private waiting rooms. The compassion and knowledge base they have greatly outweighs deep river hospital. I will not be returning.
