Defy Gravity Dance Company provides a safe, encouraging, and fun space where my daughter continues to grow and thrive as a dancer. She's been dancing at DG for 6 years now. We’re so grateful that she still has time to relax and be with family—finding that healthy balance in her life and staying injury-free. We truly believe in the “slow and steady” approach, and we couldn’t agree with it more! We’re thankful to all her amazing teachers —for not only guiding her as a dancer but for genuinely caring about her as a person. She adores all her dance teachers.

My 9 year old just finished his third season at Defy Gravity and he loved every single class. The instructors at DG are kind and nurturing. Not only do they make learning dance fun but they also teach important values like hard work and building each other up in class. Older students are given opportunities to mentor the younger ones and so that positive energy flows down to even the youngest of students. The studio is literally like a second home to my son as he looks forward to spending time there and learning from his awesome teachers. Thank you DG for bringing out the joy and love he has for dancing. Our family is looking forward to another season!

Miss Rishell and the wonderful team at Defy Gravity have created such a welcoming and supportive studio! Our little dancer is excited to go to each of their classes every week and really looks forward to learning new techniques and growing as a dancer. The teachers are caring and encouraging, and make the classes fun and engaging, all while nurturing a respectful, professional instructional environment where disruptions are kept to a minimum. The communication and information sharing are among the best we have experienced in any of our kid's (or our own!) activities. The website is excellent, easy to navigate and up-to-date. Between the well-organized, detailed emails, reminders and social media posts, Rishell makes it really easy for the parents to stay on top of any important information. The adult classes are also a lot of fun, and I would highly recommend them. We're so grateful we've found this fantastic studio, that I'm sure will be a staple in our lives!

Defy Gravity is such a special dance studio. My daughter was so lucky to train there for 8 years. She was encouraged, motivated and worked hard for some of the best teachers she has had in her dance career. The studio is clean, constantly updated and provides a positive environment for all the dancers. Not only are the dancers learning how to move gracefully, but they are also given opportunities to become leaders and give back to the community. It was a fantastic dance studio for my daughter to grow up in.

The instructors at Defy Gravity invest their time and energy to develop the talents and strengths of individual dancers - from beginners to special needs to pre-professional dancers many with different skill levels. They are caring and compassionate yet encourage their dancers to be the best human beings they can be. The staff at Defy are wonderful role models and fantastic mentors. Our daughter has danced at Defy Gravity for the last 11 years. We have always felt like members of a family here. Many of the dancers have been at the studio for years - a sure sign of happy dancers!
More recently we were very grateful that we got to see this year’s recital live. No small accomplishment during these Covid times.
Dancers of all levels are nurtured and encouraged to be the very best that they can be. We would recommend Defy Gravity to any family looking for a dance studio.

My daughter has been taking classes and was part of the Pre-Professional program over the last 9 years. The instructors have always been very caring and professional. They are very encouraging and provide valuable instruction in a safe environment. My daughter has made lifelong friends here and has thoroughly enjoyed each one of her classes! If you have any concerns, Rishell is easily accessible which makes Defy Gravity a wonderful dance community!

Defy Gravity was able to turn my shy little one into a performer! She gained so much confidence in dance class. Our family loves to see her shine on stage and at home. DG truly treats their dancers like family. My daughter loves to come to the studio, her second home!
