Unfortunately I have to give a one star.

This college blindsided my fiance by saying the loans company shorted them 1000$, forcing her to pay an additional 1000$ to the college and withholding her transcripts to be able to start her career.

This is completely unacceptable, as she's already spent so much money, and time, to complete this course. Having this additional surprise by the college after multiple confirmations with the school that all funding is good, what would make you think otherwise? And why would they wait until 10 months later after said living expenses are paid, to ask for more money?

Personally, I would avoid this college if you have go through this headache. This also isnt the first time this has happened through this college, with additional digging I've found this has happened to multiple students who got picked apart for far more then 1000$. I've seen upwards of 5000$ in mistakes that the college goes back on and blindsides said students, and withholds any sort of transcripts or anything to continue her career. Totally unacceptable when its already confirmed by the finance team MONTHS prior that all is confirmed good.

I had a great experience here at the college. All the staff here was so amazing, accommodating and friendly. As a mature student everyone made me feel welcome and Cindy went out of her way daily to make sure all my financial needs were met.

Excellent environnement, professionnel staff with great support for career development and progression. Parking spots were bit tricky to find , however, I was immediately rescued by a man with high visibility jacket who saved my day by pointing me to the right direction.

I have really enjoyed the HCA program offered here. I attended the online course offered at the Nanaimo Campus and was introduced to many students around the province. If you want a change of career this is college offers quite a lot of variety and great support to enter a new field.

I took the crisis response mental health course my teacher was amazing and the content of my course was great. The only thing I didn't like was that they removed the food safe from the course and gave the basic first aid instead of level 2 which were both given to the previous class and needed in order to work in the field. My practicum was amazing and I met some great people. Also they should add some more time in for indigenous studies as it was very condensed and rushed and is very important in the field.
