I have taken a number of training programs at DIY Training Centre in Calgary. The calibre of instructors is fantastic. Great value for your money, guaranteed to learn basics and some very clever pointers and tricks. You get lots of hands on time in each session which builds confidence while having an instructor that can help at anytime.

I recently completed Cabinet Solutions, great two day course that gives you the skills to build cabinets from boxes to drawers and doors. Our instructor Dave was knowledgeable and allowed us to work at our own pace, checking in often and providing guidance when asked.

I have taken many classes at DIY Training Centre and highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn the skills need to take on projects around your home.

Attended a class here and have to say I was very impressed! From the time of booking the class with Jackie to learning from Al, the entire experience was positive. They went out of their way to be inclusive and ensure that my physical limitations did not prevent me from being able to learn the material and feel empowered.

Al explains things using both the technical terms and layman terms and takes the time to answer all questions on the fly. Even though there were a few things I could not do myself, Al ensured I understood the concepts and he even included my support person in a couple things.

All in all, this place is inclusive, knowledgeable, supportive and empowering. I highly recommend it.

I never grew up with handy folks in the house, and so taking the Home Renovation Kickstarter for ladies 3 day course was such a great experience!

Ashton, Al and Larry were all fantastic! There was a lot of material to go through everyday, and the course participants all had a lot of really great questions, of which all three instructors happily spent time answering. This made for a really beginner friendly environment. Participants had varying levels of experience, but I know for a fact that we all gained so much from the 3 days. The balance between the theory and context of the task and the hands on component was great. It really instilled a sense of confidence and empowerment in me to be able to care for my home without having to call someone in every time.

1000% recommend to anyone considering!

Just completed the 3 day Renovation Kickstarter for Ladies in Edmonton, and I have nothing but good to say about the course. I appreciated that the classes started at 9AM, and finished every day at around 4PM. Me and my 5 other DIYers covered a lot of ground with our stellar instructors Ashton, Al and Larry. I am going to sign up for framing and drywalling, and then I’ll feel confident that I can do at least some of the work to finish my basement. DIY Training Center is a Godsend for individuals that want to repair, beautify and renovate their homes, while undertaking projects properly and without breaking the bank. Great job all! 👍

My wife and I took the casings and baseboards course and thought it was great. Good hands-on practice in three hours and a couple of great pro tips for cutting and finishing tips to really do it well.

Worthwhile course and our instructor was very friendly and had great advice.

I took a power tools starter class with Ashton last week, and although I was familiar with some of the tools he did a fantastic job of going over everything thoroughly and making sure you were comfortable and could ask questions as well as showed us lots of tips and tricks to being successful with your project.
It’s nice feeling confident and independent to work on projects yourself rather than having to always hire someone.
I’m looking forward to taking more classes here.
