Great rec centre with lots to offer at fair prices. Located right in the main foyer of the building is a booster juice accompanied by a skating rink, multiple gymnasiums, a 333m walking track, multiple work out rooms that each have something different to offer from the last as well as a theatre that hosts multiple events from concerts to plays. There is also different types of cardio/work out classes you can join as well as a playground area for kids/babysitting service.

My only issue is the men's steam room is constantly under maintenance. I've spoken to lots of other members who also use the steam room daily like myself and we all agree that the biggest flaw keeping this rec centre from surpassing the good life down the road is the fact that the steam room is broken time and time again. It's a great gym, just frustrating that the one thing that separates it from the others is a steam room that works 4-5 days a week.

It's a really unique sports multiplex center. There's a booster juice in the main foyer, which is frequented a lot. Apart from the one section of the indoor pitch that's obstructed when sitting in the stands, this place is great. Ice surface, indoor playground, indoor pitch, upper level has a gym area plus a walking path. One of my favorite parts is the oversized chess board in the lobby.

Saw Mary Poppins by Stage Eaters Theatre. It was phenomenal! SET performances are always amazing and I enjoy going to them every year. Totally worth the drive from the city. Can’t wait to see what show they do next year.

Great multi purpose recreation facility with an attached theatre. There is lots of parking and easy access to the facilities. Public washrooms are available. There is a play place for children a gym and and exercise and weight area with a running track. There is also an indoor soccer field. My wife and I did not use any of the amenities but were impressed with the building cleanliness.

Love the people working there and the comradery of the people that attended. But I think paying what will now be $60 a month is a bit much. Especially since a lot of us only use the gym upstairs, which for the amount we pay isn't in that good of shape. On top of the increase, we actually lose space like the pacesetter room. It was taken away to give to people would are doing the design of the placefor the next four years, people who wouldn't know a dumb bell from a wet paper bag. Sure, there are other places to workout and stretch that hold 30 people, but what space do you have when fitness classes are going on there with about 20 people or more, and they take up all the space, do you really think people want to stretch in the middle of that many people? I'm willing to bet we lose parking space. When you have hockey or other sports and conventions, going space gets tight. It has become an absolute joke.

I'm not sure who came up with the decision to increase the membership that much, but it has definitely made me go some place else. I can go to another gym for half that price and have better equipment, triple the space and water fountains that actually with enough water pressure to actually drink from and not have dirty water filters that haven't been replaced in years.

Whomever came up with that decision to increase it, you should be ashamed of yourself. If it came from the town council, then you guys need to be replaced. It shows how little you care about the people who live here, and you are definitely out of tune to whats going on in this city. If it comes from someone else, then move on because you're officially clueless. Many people, especially those on a fixed income, can not afford these prices, and I can see membership dropping because of this bs increase.

The kids love going to play sports, excellent gym and indoor soccer field. My youngest loves playing the the play area. Plenty to do at the Dow!

Absolutely love the Dow! The Shell Theatre is a great place to see a show. I’ve attended shows here as well as brought shows to this theater. Love the management and staff. Great, great venue!
