It’s unfortunate that there isn’t an option for negative stars. EBUS Academy does not seem to be a supportive environment for adult learners. Students who are genuinely trying to succeed often feel talked down to or dismissed, which can be incredibly discouraging. Instead of offering guidance and encouragement, some staff members come across as disrespectful or uninterested in helping students reach their goals.

This is especially frustrating considering the school promotes itself as having a “well-developed and proven formula for helping students achieve their academic goals.” Based on several experiences, that promise feels empty.

And judging by other reviews, this doesn’t appear to be an isolated complaint.

There are better learning environments out there, ones that actually treat students with respect and want to see them succeed. EBUS needs to seriously reflect on how it supports its students, especially adult learners, who are the people of tomorrow. Do better.

A wonderful place for inclusive education. The staff have a much more flexible approach to suit different learners than that which can be provided at a typical public school. Not to mention, people with autism get choice in selecting their academic support from a range of options.

This has been a huge issue with public schools as there never seems to be enough support for those who need it. Cross-enrolment is also an advantage here for those who may only need 1 on 1 in specific areas.

Online schooling might not be right for everyone, but they find a balance here and there are countless individuals who are thankful for those opportunities that would not otherwise be possible.

This DL school has been a gift to our family. All four of our children attended Ebus at some point during their highschool journeys. We are extremely grateful to the staff and faculty for providing a supportive learning environment for our kids. Our three oldest are all currently attending university (UBC and University of St. Andrews) and our youngest will graduate in two short years. We cannot thank the highschool and special education teams at Ebus enough.

Excellent online learning school. Some courses were challenging and you have to be prepared to study hard or face the consequences. I couldn't have graduated without the possibilities that Ebus provided! It was truly my ticket to the future and allowed me to pursue higher education in Europe afterwards.

I did my grade 10 English here online to complete my high school course and got my Dogwood diploma. Amazing and very nice teachers and staff!!
