My kids go to school here. Teachers are super friendly and very good at their jobs from what I've seen. I would recommend this school for sure!

The parking lot is horrible, people constantly park in the neighboring townhouse complex & streets blocking people’s driveways during drop off & pick up, they also park in the nearby bus stop forcing the buses to stop to let kids off in the middle of the road. I’ve been cursed at, spit at & had parents scream at me because I asked them to move so I could leave my own driveway. Just recently a parent told me “You don’t own the city, I can park wherever the hell I want” when she was asked to move while PARKED in front of a NO PARKING sign then drove off while giving me the middle finger with young children in the vicinity (wonder where these kids learn such language from? 🤔). The children who walk to & from the 7/11 nearby at lunchtime leave trash all over the sidewalks, in the bus stop & in people’s front yards. The children who use the bus stop on Akins Drive throw snowballs at cars & bounce tennis balls off the electrical boxes as well as the sides of peoples houses. When asked to stop they curse at you & name call. I’ve reported this behavior to the school several times & all they do is tell you to phone the RCMP who do nothing about as it isn’t a priority. Probably a great school for all except those in the neighborhood who have to put up with such nonsense as not being able to access their own driveways!

My daughter Amina Poonawalla just loves Gish school and so far we as a parent are so happy with the teachers and their school staff really appreciate their hard work.
We have no complains.
Would definitely recommend to the parents for their children.

The school has many diversity of students showing and teaching kids at a young age to except everyone no matter their beliefs or looks. But the old principal Mr strem got rid of the Halloween dance, st. Patrick's day, Christmas night at the school because it wasn't inclusive to people who didn't celebrate those holidays but decided to only celebrate Ramadan instead. which I do appreciate him for wanting to be inclusive and make others feel accepted no matter their beliefs but I don't understand why he had to get rid of many other national holidays that others believe in. But during the elementary with the global and cogito there were many bulling problems to where some kids where getting severally bullied.

We changed our school to Elmer S. Gish this year. My son loves it! He wakes up easier now and runs to school. Our teacher Mrs. Selinskis is fantastic! Very happy for my son!
