One of the teachers says the n word for “educational purposes” and the school board did nothing about it, honestly ashamed at this school for not taking actions on the wrong matters, there has also been racism throughout teachers and students and nothing has been done about it, a lot of assumptions about what race you are based on your colour. How embarrassing, Honestly expected better from this school.

The teachers were hit and miss on likability but were all great at teaching. The history teacher with long curly red hair loved her job and imparted a will to learn to her students (Ms. Keen?). Large windows, rooms, corridors, and stairs decorated by students working together. Our student body had a working dialogue with school staff and made school events like the annual carnival awesome. I found detention impossible to avoid as my locker was further from my classes than the five minute class change allowed. To avoid daily hour detentions I was forced to carry excessive weight worth of textbooks in my backpack. I attended E.C.I. at the end of the second millennium. It was far better than a few high schools in Brampton that I became familiar with afterwards. I only issue I had with E.C.I. was the stuck up rich kids full of complaints of how somehow their lack of performance was a result of the opportunity around them not being gift wrapped to their preference. The opportunity to learn and grow at E.C.I. exceeds any other public school I've attended or taught at.

Great school in a nice neighborhood! I graduated from ECI. The staff here are great (for the most part). They don’t seem to have crazy rules and dress code like a lot of other high schools I know. The also have a wide range of courses. I recommend sticking to the basic courses though if u plan on going to college or uni... can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to take a class and can’t cause the requirement was Calc or grade 12 chem 🙁

This is one of the most toxic and corrupt schools I have ever attended, your child will not be the same after they attended eci, this school is so bad the vice principal greely is a corrupt power control freak, I was there and she taunted me about my life choices and always saying negative nasty things as she walked past me in the halls. She is racist she hides behind the school bored. The parents may speak to her over the phone but she changes as soon and she ends the call. She has accused me of being a drug addict because of my choice of clothing and my background I was totoally judged, now for some reason since I spoke my words in front of the school bored with greely in the room with the school bored ppl and I told her off and told the school bored all of the shenanigans and drug activity that she profits off of she didn’t deny it she brushed it off as the school bored was astonished of what I had told them. I got out of that school for the best and now attending a much better school doing a lot better then I was doing in eci I have moral support at my school and thy treat you as a person at my school not like another kid that they get paid to teach as like in eci. I’d never recommend anyone to go the that school it is very bad and it will ruin your child’s dreams and crush their confidence. Eci Is a joke of a school very corrupt and it will never change. Take this into consideration once you read this

The Review Rat

Honestly, I’m not fond of this school. There are many bullying situations going on and the teachers and principal either aren’t doing anything, or just making it worse. They act like they don’t care about the students. The teachers can be hard to understand, and many of them are very unhelpful and have even laughed at slower students.

Great years at this high school of mine, an otherwise safe school in a good neighbourhood. Teachers were excellent and some were even inspiring. The school is heavily involved in various sports and had particular success in football and hockey. It’s a stone’s throw from plenty of places to eat and is super close to the subway line in Islington station. Thanks ECI, semper ad meliora!

If you're in high school and you go here, switch schools immediately unless you wish to spend 4 years with people that will pretend to be your friends but will betray you in the end. Also a lot of girls there are sleeping around, I dated a girl from there and she cheated on me after 2 weeks
