I just wanted to take a moment to share our incredible experience at First City School of Dance, specifically the CASE dance program for boys. My son began this program a few years back, admittedly with a little trepidation. He wasn't interested in ballet or jazz or the "typical" dance class. Well, CASE was anything but typical! This all boys class teaches strength in movement, learning to express emotions in contemporary dance and even the ability to be a choreographer! Watching this class at the year end recital truly amazed my family to see the power in their movements! Seriously, if you have a son who's on the fence, check out First City School of Dance, CASE program!! Incredible!

The Adult Dance Conference was a blast! So many classes and dance styles to choose from. I am already looking forward to next year! The FCSD adult classes are great for those of us that may not have had a chance to dance when we were young but want to dance now. Many styles to choose from and different ability levels.

My child loves first city for their classes and performance opportunities. She is thrilled about the new classes being offered this fall. She attended the dance camp this week and she was ready to go early everyday( we never get out of the house on time).

We’re in beautiful NB for the summer from our home in Toronto. Our 14 year old daughter did one week of private intensive ballet classes with Sarah at the end of August and she absolutely loved it. Marcia at First City was very accommodating when arranging the classes, and Sarah was the perfect teacher! She met our daughter at her level and helped her build skills from there. She is kind, encouraging and incredibly knowledgeable. We highly recommend!

We are so very excited to begin the journey along with First City School of Dance for my girls - the communication and organisation has already been absolutely wonderful and here are a huge range of classes available, both in Saint John, and in the Kennebecasis Valley. Since first having Ms. Marcia as a teacher we have been VERY excited to have her again - and are really thrilled that she has started this school for our family to be a part of. The values of the school, and the experience we know we will get from this talented teacher and her amazing team of dancers give us, as parents a LOT of reassurance that we know that this is the right place for a fantastic, creative and passionate dance education.

Our kids (a boy and girl) have been dancing at First City since its opening year, and we are so impressed by the school's teachers and inclusive attitude. In our personal experience, other dance schools have enforced rules that can make some families feel excluded from the dance world. However, everyone is made to feel welcome at First City, and it's clear that the teachers value all students for who they truly are! This is by far the best dance school in the Saint John area!

Myself and my girls have started taking dance classes at FCDS and we have so enjoyed the classes and the general vibe! Marcia really has built an environment and culture around the love of dance, positivity and creativity. I can't recommend this school highly enough.

FCSD provides incredible dance opportunities for adults in the Saint John area. They offer a variety of genres, taught by skilled and experienced instructors. Their child classes are also well planned with thoughtful and engaging lessons. My boys have loved their dance experience with FCSD. So thankful that we have this wonderful dance community in our city!
