This absolute gem of a restaurant makes you feel right at home the moment you step in. We stopped by near the end of the night and asked for the cup of chowder and small bowl of Cajun chicken linguine, but the cook, in true Cape Breton spirit, made us extra so we each got a size up. The food was so flavourful and warm, and the country-pop music playing softly in the background made it all feel extra cozy. The staff were quick to have us seated and fed, even with the bustle of Ceilidh night at the civic centre nearby. For a restaurant nestled within a shopping centre, it left such an impression on me as a kid, and I was so excited to bring my husband by to share it with him. It feels like a warm hug 🤗

Stopped in for brunch and was not disappointed! Service was fast and friendly, our food was out quick and was really good, I'm kicking myself for not trying the Scottish toast. I had French toast and my husband had the club sandwich and a side of chowder, all of it was hot, fresh, and delicious!

Stopped in for breakfast. Had Homemade Fish cakes & beans. They were great. Food was piping hot.

Place us nicely decorated with traditional East coast pictures & ornaments.

Place is located in the Old Port Hawkesbury Shopping center.

Drop in & have a hearty meal. You won't be disappointed.

Really love this little restaurant! We stopped in here for breakfast in August 2023, while on our 10 day road trip around the maritimes.
Service was exceptional, and breakfast was done perfectly. Love the way they cut the home fries in circles! Sausage was lean and tasty, and eggs were done just right.
If you haven't been to this place you gotta get here!

This place doesn't look like much from the street but, once inside, you get wonderfully friendly service and comfort food that hits the spot perfectly. We have been very impressed with the little Mom and Pop Shops in the Maritimes and this place was no exception. This was one of the best places we had lunch during our two week trip.

Not all bad but disappointed in biscuits. We both had eggs and I had the orange slices with my plate. Eggs were fine orange was very good and I shared with my husband. The fried potatoes are good. But the biscuits are cold and stale. We are both from the South USA as well as bakers and we KNOW biscuits. Our fault for not saying anything, should have sent them back after first bite. Everyone around us had toast so that’s a clue as well.

Great family run restaurant in the town. Service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. We stumbled upon this gem looking for all day breakfast and it exceeded our expectations. The omelette was tasty and the serving size was generous. Would visit again
