A kiddo in my life has recently discovered a passion for fishing & has developed a deep appreciation for this store. The staff consistently demonstrate friendliness & engage with both him & us, answering our questions & providing assistance. It’s invaluable to have knowledgeable professionals nearby, especially since we are not well-versed in fishing.

First, i want to say I come here for about 80% of fishing needs. I only go here for fishing supplies, which is a little lacking when it comes to options. Quite often, they are out of the right size of lures or hooks needed. Some more options would be great. But I still come here first for what I need. The store feels slightly disorganized, but I love how local it is, which is a big factor for me to keep coming back. You're not going to find fishing or hunting equipment quite like this place. Sometimes, I do get different answers from different staff members. My guess is their knowledge is based on personal experience rather than a joined educated effort. But this is okay because I find it gives me more options to catch those scaly elusive creatures. Sometimes, I take their information or suggestions and add in a little of my own once I reach the waters edge. And even though I don't hunt, I have seen quite a few options for those who prefer to hunt the furry creatures. I do recommend this place for basic fishing needs and hunting accessories. You get tailor-made experienced, knowledgeable staff. Though I don't find it a one stop shop, they have almost everything you need for your trip.

A couple years ago I purchased 2 boxes of Fed Prem 170gr Nos Part in 30-30 which I was told were new but the boxes looked like they had been on the shelf for a while. I walked out the store and went home. A while later I come to find out they were re-sell ammo with a mix of blue and red primers and one box had 18 nickel plated cases with 2 brass cases. The other box had all brass cases but mix of red and blue primers. Always check ammo and make sure it’s what your paying for.

What an excellent place. I go here for firearms products, specifically reloading equipment and components. The staff is very welcoming of newbies such as myself and willing to share advice and knowledge. Always a great experience shopping here.

The folks and inventory here are awesome. Everyone there is respectful and kind, they've made it one of my favourite stores to shop at.

They have a large inventory, but they seem to have lost something when
they expanded. As an example, I was at the gun counter and prepared to purchase a rifle that day. I told the guy behind the counter that I had narrowed it down to three rifles and wanted to feel which one fit me the
best. He showed me one rifle and told me the other ones were "in the back". He asked me what my primary reason for the rifle was and I told him that it would be a hunting rifle. He then proceeded to tell me all about his trip to Africa and that I should book a hunt. What I wanted to buy the best rifle that fit me the best out of three and he wasted 45 minutes of my time pushing some stupid Africa trip on me; that I had and showed no interest in. I ended up leaving the store and doing a 40 minute drive to Wholesale Sports. That Staff member cost them a sale. I don't mind paying more to keep the money in the community, but they have to do their part too. If a guy is too lazy to find two rifles from their inventory, why should I spend extra money to shop there.

It used to be so much better when the owner was always on site. Their current staff must be costing them customers because I have a difficult time believing that I am the only one who has had this experience. Closing at 6:30 PM on Thursdays and Fridays doesn't help either. Well, I'm sure that it helps Canadian Tire that is only 2 minutes away.

I always have a great experience here. Today I was shopping for a bow and the setup to go along with it. Found one I liked and we tried out one very similar in the archery area in the back. 15 dollars for the day and you can go as long a you want. I love Flys Etc.

Top notch sales staff and the owner goes about and beyond. Prices are a little more but that’s to be expected in a small town. Overall great experience every time I step foot in this place.
