Our Audrey had her first groom with Plat & team last week and she came out looking a million dollars ? She was groomed so well and she’s been getting so many comments, smiles and pats as she prances around Richmond. 10/10!

Brought my corgi in with small matted spots behind her ears and one under her neck.
Needing a full bath and tidy too.

Specifically asked for them not to be shaved, the owner even laughed at me when I requested this due to her double coat and she has gone completely against our requests.

We have had this issue with her hair matting before and our previous groomer was able to brush them out with care and time.
PLA shaved them off. Siting they couldn’t be sorted out otherwise. No attempt was made to contact me to discuss this.

She didn’t attempt to blend the short hair under her chin again either.
She has been shaved under her body to the point her skin is grazed and almost BLEEDING. See photos.

I found her whole attitude very rude and business practice questionable. Not sure if butchering the dog was payback at me for calling her out at laughing at me, but this is the worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced.
Do not go there.

Edited to add in response to owner’s response-

A quick google search about dogs with double coats and the long lasting damage it can do to their coat, shows you don’t know about this. Every article about double coats from VETS and GROOMERS states not to shave a dog with a double coat. Anyone reading this can do the same.
If you claim to have the experience you do, and that you are a vet. I shouldn’t need to google. You should just know this.

I was never rude to you.
I never even yelled at you.
I expressed my frustration and have the right to do so when you have butchered my dogs coat.
I never used bad language.
You would not let me speak when I was explaining either.

If other customers are witnessing our conversation and the state you left my dog in, that’s not on me.
I can’t control how you practice your business. If you choose to go against the customers requests and another customer over hears this conversation asking why things were done against my request, perhaps it’s a good thing.

If the matting was that bad you should be contacting the owner not just doing what you think is best after the customer has specifically asked their dog not be shaved.

At the end the day you’ve gone completely against my wishes and made no attempt to contact me regarding the matter whilst the dog was in your trusted care.
If you truly cared you would take this feedback on and have a better business practice.

Brought my fluffy corgi here and she came out a looking lovely. Her ears were knotty going in, but it’s so much neater and easier to maintain and manage now. She also had the signature corgi bubble bum now - I didn’t realise she had the booty for it! ?

Pla does such an incredible job grooming our toy poodle, Harry. She recommended we hold off giving him his first proper cut to ensure his fur doesn't go wiry and he now has a beautiful, soft and fluffy coat. Whether it's a trim and tidy up or a full groom he always comes back looking perfect. I'm ashamed to say there have been times we've allowed his fur to get matted around his collar and she makes short work of these problem areas. Plus Harry loves being there to play with the other dogs. Highly recommend!

Never go here. My cavoodle got butchered and it's heartbreaking. As a dog owner it was a horrific experience and ZERO customer service! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! A sincere distressed oodle mama. ?
