I don’t usually write reviews, but this experience has stayed with me and I feel it’s worth sharing. Some time ago, I went to visit Goh Ballet Toronto. I was seriously considering enrolling my daughter and wanted to see the space in person. When I arrived, the studio was closed, but I took a moment to look in through the windows. The space looked modern, bright, and very well cared for. It immediately caught my eye. There was a calm, welcoming feeling to it, and I could easily picture my daughter feeling inspired and excited to dance there.

Since I couldn’t speak with anyone in person when I visited, I tried calling but didn’t receive an answer. I then filled out the online information request form, hoping to hear back soon. When I asked for information, there was no holiday or other reason given for the delay, so there was no excuse for not responding in a timely manner. Unfortunately, it still took more than three days for anyone to get back to me. By that point, I had already started exploring other dance schools.

As a parent, finding the right environment for your child is so important. Details such as timely communication may seem small, but they make a big difference. If it takes that long just to get a response to a basic inquiry, it raises concerns about what communication might be like once you’re enrolled. It was especially disappointing because the school looked so lovely from the outside and is conveniently located near where we live. In the end, the lack of responsiveness left a negative impression on me and made me decide not to pursue it any further. I’m glad they were able to show me their true level of service now rather than later.

I was taking adult ballet classes at Goh Ballet in Bayview Village and had signed up for half a year, paying full regular fees. I was shocked and disappointed to learn that some people were able to attend the exact same class for just one dollar through an app, while I was paying significantly more for the exact same class and received no credit, adjustment, or real explanation.

When I asked about this, the only explanation given was that it was a promotion. There was no transparency or fairness, and this felt like a blatant money grab at the expense of those who paid full price.

Their beautiful decor did not make up for the deceit. Not to mention, the administrative staff could not justify or explain this business behavior beyond calling it a promotion. I felt as if they were doing whatever it took just to cover their rent in Bayview Village. I did not feel welcomed at all once I found out the truth.

Very disappointing experience overall. I withdrew immediately and will not be returning. I strongly caution others to do their research before signing up. Apparently, the same class might cost you just a dollar if you find it through the right app.

Our child is enrolled at Goh Ballet, and we were required to purchase a "nude underbody suit" for performances. After confirming with other parents in the same class that they paid $19.50 + tax, we proceeded to purchase one together with an overpriced tights at the front desk. The staff did not inform us of the cost before handing us the item, nor telling us the items are non-refundable. Only upon checking the receipt did we realize we were charged $39 + tax (DOUBLE the expected price!). The next day, we returned the item unopened and unused, requesting a refund. The front desk said they needed to "check with the manager" but later refused. Management simply claimed "the senior declined", offering no justification for the price discrepancy or refusal. This has been ongoing since May 24th, with no progress despite multiple follow-ups, and i finally received an answer today but still no luck. Goh Ballet chose unfair pricing, zero transparency, and poor customer service, which made our parents really disappointing.
The school's focus appears to be on extracting money rather than developing dancers. Our daughter has no noticeable improvement in her technique after over 4-5 semesters.
We deeply regret choosing Goh Ballet and are currently exploring alternatives that actually value both students and their families.

I was surprised to find out that the big Indigo left and is replaced by a beautiful ballet facility. Had the privilege to speak with Heather at the front desk who gave me a quick sneak peek at the studio classes. Saw some beautiful paintings and pictures. Totally recommend this place 👌

My daughter just completed her first year at Goh Ballet and loves it! From the beginning the staff and students made her feel welcome and a part of the Goh family. She has flourished as a dancer. She enjoys coming to class everyday. The teachers are wonderful and want the best for their dancers. The studio is organized and communicates well with families. Their year end show was magnificent. They put so much hard work and time into making a wonderful production. My daughter is already looking forward to her next dance season. Thank you Goh Ballet Bayview!

The teachers are incredibly committed to helping their students develop core strength, spatial awareness, and technique. The staff are supportive, kind, patient. My daughter, already a talented dancer, vaulted forward in her confidence and technique after a two week intensive at Goh. Highly recommend.

Excellent ballet school ! We actually travel across the city to attend. There’s a popular ballet studio 5 mins from our home and we trek for this school because the teachers are fantastic and their admin staff too.

The studio is beautiful and they maintain an organize and peaceful environment. It’s very regulating for our kid.

Our child seemed to be losing interest in ballet and when I mentioned it to the front staff, they worked hard to make class adjustments to stimulate passion. It worked and now my kid actually cried when I suggested switching to the closer dance school.

We have never had even a whiff of any weird body image stuff from the school or teachers. I took ballet for years and any serious studio will be strict about your hair and clothes tidiness - it’s part of ballet culture. So if that offends you then it may be a ballet issue rather than the school.

I also like how this school doesn’t charge you hidden fees for costumes and shows - other schools. Some people complain about the price but other studios will add on a bunch of fees you don’t expect. Also quality programming costs a lot.

I also appreciate as a parent that parking is easy, free and I can run errands in the mall/loblaws during class. Or I can do work on the communal areas. We are all busy so this a great bonus. Many downtown studios end up costing more because we pay for parking. Or if it’s an area that doesn’t allow me to multitask. Let’s be honest, we are all busy.

My daughter has been going there for 4 years. She enjoyed going to the Goh ballet. Teachers are nice. She learned so much and now move so gracefully like a dancer.
