Delightful little museum, a short walk from the Haliburton Sculpture Forest (make time to see this) and Glebe Park. The focus is on the post-colonial settler history of the area. A small display of artifacts and a brief acknowledgement of First Nations peoples history in the area is provided.
Efforts have been made to create accessible access - a small elevator, reduced barriers in the washrooms.
I doubt there is officially a dog- friendly policy, but our leashed dog was permitted to enter.
I particularly enjoyed the history of the County Echo, a local newspaper. My grandfather began his career as a typesetter, so it's always neat to see the history of early newspapers.

We were on a walk when we stumbled across this museum so we decided to take a walk through. It's a well preserved time capsule of Halliburton past. There are a lot of cool little trinkets from way back when, which are interesting to see. If you're in the area it's worth a stop.

A museum full of local history. With many interesting things to see, from past local and major events, sports, 19th century appliances, remembrance, sawmill dioramas, merchandise, past store items, and most importantly the people, tools and machinery that shaped and built this town!

Friendly and welcoming staff as well, who give little tidbits and facts on the exhibits. Even on the mythical boar creature who you first see when you walk through the door.
