This school board believes that education is more important than safety. What ever happened to a 0 tolerance in bullying? Is the hands to yourself rule no longer implemented? The HCDSB thinks students hitting others is acceptable because “they are still learning”.

Very unprofessional individuals. They would prefer students have good grades over being safe in the classroom. Choosing a catholic school over public was the worst decision I made for my children.

Zero communication between the school board and school staff, it’s quite pathetic.

Start doing better HCDSB. You are ruining the education experience for children.

The whole “safe school” motto you claim your platform is based on and you strive for is inaccurate.

Supposedly school libraries are considered social rooms now!
Just recently the school board decided it was a good idea to put couches and lounge chairs instead of putting quiet rooms for people who are studying or maybe dividers. Honestly though social rooms are what lunch rooms are for!
We don’t need more couches!
We need a place to study because… isn’t that what schools are supposed be for?! Yeah……

Good luck if your child is ever bullied in the Catholic system. NO support for the child. They would rather sweep things under the rug rather than tarnish their "good Christian" reputation. Blame the victim, isolate them rather than protect them. Shameful, shameful behaviour, confirmed by several counsellors who work with students in this system.

Forget about the student bullying students. At St. Bernadette, in Oakville, the principal is the one bullying the students, parents, teachers and administrative staff, which left the school because of her. She is using prejudice to target who she personally does not want in the school but not the ones she likes. This is a staff of the Halton Catholic School Board. I left the Catholic School Board along with a lot of people I know across Ontario and would never return back again. My kids where suffering from the environment she has created in that school along with a lot other kids that I was made aware of. If this is the kind of person the Catholic wants in their systems and support I don't want anything to do with the Catholic system.

Good luck getting a straightforward answer to a simple question from the VP.
And there was absolutely no response from the Director, nor from the Board Chair.

Trustees Quinn and Karabela visit Germany and Poland on tax payer dime, approved by HCDSB. Is this appropriate use of school dollars ?
