Had a wonderful experience at Foxes Den at Highwood golf and country club, went for the all you can eat prime rib and was very impressed! The cut of prime rib was delicious and so tender, all the sides and options were delicious and cooked so well. The staff are so efficient and polite, they are always there to help and always checked on us to make sure we were doing okay ☺️ also a beautiful view of the golf course, highly recommend!

We recently had a group of 23 for a Christmas party at the Foxes Den at the High River golf and country club. I am writing this review because I cannot say enough about how much we appreciated what the entire team did for us.
To walk in and see the room fixed up so beautiful and festive meant so much. Much more than we could of imagined.
Our waitress, Nikki, looked after us with her usual classy service and attention and the chefs did not let us down. Their were lots of positive comments.
If you haven’t been to the Foxes Den lately you might want to give it a try. The new menu and daily specials are great. Most importantly the servers are phenomenal.

I grew up playing golf at Highwood Golf Club.
This place is near and dear to my heart.
I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am in this place. The new Heritage is in the poorest condition I have ever seen it in.
Sadly it was like that last year. The membership is great, restaurant is excellent.
The range is absolutely sub par.
If it's a choice... It won't be here.

I recently played at Highwood Golf Course and was really let down by the experience. First off, I had a raincheck for 9-holes as my original 18-hole tee time was rained out halfway.

When I got to the counter to pay for my new 18-hole tee time, the staff seemed completely uninterested in helping me redeem my raincheck. It felt like I was asking for a favor rather than simply using what was promised.

To make matters worse, when I inquired about using the raincheck, the response was downright dismissive. The staff member reduced the value of the original half 18-hole raincheck by charging me the more expensive 9-hole rate ($35) compared to the original half 18-hole rate ($25). They didn’t clearly explain how or why they would reduce my raincheck's original value, leaving me frustrated and disappointed. It was as if I was more of a nuisance than a valued customer.

The treatment we received was disappointing. Instead of feeling welcomed, we felt like we were a burden to the staff. Overall, I expected a much better experience at a golf course that promotes itself as friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning anytime soon due to the treatment by the staff. Save your time and money and find a course that actually values its customers!

Overall, OK to golf with price. Layout is OK to play, yet some green are in horrible shape. I do understand winter frost was caused, yet due to course opened in last minute, and not care would cause this from past year. I do enjoy golf in many different courses and but comparing with other course, greens are bit worst than other course.

Practice range is great (on green not on mat), balls are ok.

Staff members are very helpful.

Would I go this course again? I would if buddies would like to play on this for casual round.

We played Highwood 18 earlier this year and got hailed out so we received a raincheck for the remaining 9 holes with a cart. We came back to use the raincheck and booked 18 holes - they charged us a separate 9 hole green fee and cart. The difference between the 9 hole green fee and 18 hole green fee was $9 and the difference between the 9 hole cart and 18 hole was $5. All other golf courses would've either: a) given the 18 hole rate divided by half rather than penalizing you for using a raincheck or b) given you an actual $ credit to offset your next booking. So essentially, my 9 hole rain check with cart was only worth $15. When confronted, the staff was annoyed that we were asking - and also mentioned that he was going to tell us the raincheck "didn't do much" but "figured we would've wanted to use it anyways". If we had known, we would have paid the extra $15 to play 18 and use the raincheck separately for another 9 holes. Terrible service. Moral of the story is 1) don't play here or 2) don't ever get a raincheck as it's essentially useless.

Restaurant was excellent food delish.all staff working inside and outside were most pleasant. We will definately come back

Sad to share that I inquired for the high wood golf club for my wedding and got ghosted. Their communication skills were very poor when we were emailing back and forth. It took them weeks to get back to me, and it was impossible to set up a tour- it never happened! I asked for available times and the tour guide asked for when I was available. After I gave her my available times, she said somebody could get back to me and possibly give me a tour. Later I was more assertive and I asked for a Wednesday tour, but she NEVER got back to me. I called the number on their wedding package and I always got referred to wedding tours, then no one would pick up. I asked if anyone was available to speak about a tour and the administrators said they don’t know and that’s not their department. Don’t bother inquiring!
