Such amazing people! Amazing place and atmosphere! Welcoming. Pastor Ed and Melissa are just so Welcoming and take the time to check in with each and everyone! Was looking for a church and was scared I would find the wrong one but I have definitely found the right one.

The parking situation around the Home Church in Olds, Alberta, is out of control, particularly on Sundays from 9 AM to 2 PM.

As a member of Anytime Fitness, located in the same plaza as your church, I have consistently faced difficulties in finding parking during these hours. It is incredibly disappointing to witness members of your congregation parking directly in front of spaces marked for Anytime Fitness, blatantly ignoring the signs. This lack of consideration not only inconveniences patrons of neighboring businesses, such as myself, who are paying customers and should not have to plan their day around what’s happening at the Home Church, but also reflects poorly on Home Church being respectful and neighborly.

Additionally, it’s concerning that customers and patrons using other businesses in the plaza are forced to deal with this issue. It’s unfair that our ability to access services we pay for is compromised by the parking situation during church events.

The parking situation also poses a significant safety hazard. The failure to use designated parking stalls and vehicles parked on what should be designated roadway make it difficult to even leave the parking lot. This could potentially hinder emergency vehicles like the fire department from accessing the building or allowing others to exit in a timely manner should an emergency arise.

To help alleviate this problem, I suggest the possibility of setting up a carpooling system. Perhaps the church could arrange for a carpooling lot at the nearby high school, where congregants could park and then carpool together to the church. This would not only reduce the number of vehicles requiring parking near the church but also help in managing the parking space more efficiently.

I hope this message serves as a constructive means to improve our shared community space and ensure safety and respect for all.
