This place is a pleasant alternative to the cavernous big box conglomerates. It has most of the things a person would need and the staff is friendly and helpful. For example, the lovely young lady who runs the paint department spent 25 minutes (it was early and not busy) helping me pick out accurate rainbow colours for a fence mural that me and my daughter's were painting. How awesome is that? ☺

This place truly has small-town charm! I came here recently with a unique dilemma and one of the staff (possibly the owner?) went out of his way to brainstorm and troubleshoot with me. Petey, the store cat, delights my kids every time. Come here before driving to the big box stores!

BEST Hardware store in T-Town. People here are knowledgeable, helpful, provide excellent customer service (most of them), kind and compassionate. I am boycotting RONA for how rude their staff has been to me and so many others. I have supported Home Hardware more often then not because they are a smaller company but now I support them & Canadian Tire exclusively because no other hardware store in Tsawwassen can compare to their (Home Hardware) customer service. Shout out to Ron, he is the BEST!

I understand that sometimes prices are higher, but for locals it's very convenient.

However, seniors get 10% off anytime.

For us non seniors, all ages/everyone receive 15% off in the first hour home hardware is open on the weekends (between 8-9am Saturday and 9-10am Sunday).

With the discount, often the prices are competitive with Rona and sometimes even better (the baseboard trim for example is better pricing than anywhere else).

They also at least twice a year offer 25% coupons from the local paper.

Using the above strategy, the lesser travel for locals and the friendly helpful environment makes this a great place.

I've never had a bad experience there. If you're a smart shopper it's a great store.

Canadian BC

I called from Burnaby BC and asked if they have a lawn mower, told them model.
They told me that they have 2 left.
I told the guy I'm on my way.
I arrived after around half a hour, the guy put lawn mower aside ready for me by the cashier.
I just paid and was good to go.
Professional.
