We booked the room via a third-party site but mistakenly selected dates a month ahead. The receptionist, after speaking with the manager, told us to contact the third-party company to cancel the wrong booking and assured us the motel would approve the cancellation so we could get a refund. Despite this promise and several reminders from us, they never sent the approval and stopped responding entirely. Very disappointing — lack of honesty and zero communication.

The hotel looks dated from the outside but they are renovating the rooms. I thought they were great. Great location. Front desk staff are super friendly and I love that they give you dove products in the bathroom.

They are pet friendly, decent room if your aim is just to sleep for the night and breakfast is included but you can hear the noise from the outside which is annoying and if you’re a light sleeper, you won’t be able to get a good night sleep. A little bit expensive too compared to the other hotel we booked in dawson creek. Outside surrounding is quite dusty and dirty too.

Large room, comfortable bed, nice to have an armchair in the room too. On the main highway but it was pretty soundproof. Breakfast voucher for on-site restaurant, there were several choices. Nice that it wasn't just make your own toast etc.

They do not communicate between staff, try to charge you extra money - I ended up having to cancel my credit card because they kept charging small amounts so that they went unflagged... There will be an investigation into this.

I had not checked out yet, had not been to the office - and two ladies came to harass me out of my room to tell me that I owed money (though, I thought I'd settled up - I called to confirm on Tuesday)... When they called in the morning I said I would be in to see them before I left to make sure... Instead they came to my room, the conversation became heated as they had no proof of receipts (they were blocking my exit to the door) - they told me I could leave. The second I left, they started charging my accounts (4 transactions - 2 at $100 and 2 at $50). I never gave them permission to do these transactions... And when they told me I could leave, I assumed that was that...

Room 108 has mould, water damage and toys(?) behind the beds. When they came to check the room, I showed them and the attendant claimed it was just a patch... It was absolutely disgusting when we moved in. There's a high pitched ringing all night...

The bathroom was not cleaned - there was stains and patches everywhere on the walls.

I ended up cleaning the room before and after I was finished with it... I didn't want them in my room as I noticed a number of personal items had been removed from my uncle's alter (he recently passed). So I denied them access to my room... Because I had to sign a sheet saying "nothing taken or stolen from the rooms could be the responsibility of the hotel".

They then said - I could have asked for cleaning or a new room... When I got there they told me that I didn't have that option because I had a dog.

They took money from my account without permission... I didn't see the receipt and they told me I could leave.

I ordered a room for one night, travelling from out of town, and after calling to make the reservation, I was told that because I don’t have a credit card I could not get a room — which has never been the case before this. I was not refunded my $120 despite never going to the hotel, and the rude employee on the phone insinuated, out of nowhere, that I was homeless and asked if I needed help getting to the shelter. I was never refunded, never got any calls after that, and will never be returning. Either management has changed or they don’t care anymore, but this place has gone downhill, and I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody.
