Wonderful karate school ran by an amazing group of people. They really care about the kids and helping them progress. It feels more like a community than a school. My son has been attending class since little ninjas (3 years old) and has loved every minute of it! Their summer camps are the best! The kids all have a blast and there are so many activities for them. They have been very flexible with us attending make up classes when needed. The coaches are amazing and are great with the kids. Highly recommend!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Johanis Karate School! My daughter has been coming for a few years and loves the coaches and staff (as do I). Everyone truly cares about the progression of the kids and spends time to perfect their skills. I as a parent am so thankful to have met so many wonderful caring people in one place. We are lucky to be part of this community. Thank you for being who you are and for all that you do - It takes a village and I appreciate you so very much💕

BEWARE PARENTS....The junior staff teaching there are wonderful however the Owners are only interested in your money and have no compassion to real life challenges.

We started our boys in karate to have a nice extra curricular activity. Multiple times classes were cancelled due to weather, which is totally understandable and although they would keep saying classes would be made up they would not work with us for making up those classes instead only offering times on their schedules. Private lessons were finally offered but again on their convenience.

The last straw was when we asked them to take a break as we are expecting a new born and with the financial burden of another child we said we will need to take a pause until next spring once the newborn expenses settle. Not one did our e-mail say we were not returning or quitting.

Abrutly the owner sent a blunt email to us basically kicking our kids out on the spot as they had classes to attend that same day and aid that if they attend that evening class they will be rejected at the door. My wife emailed explained that our boys class's will end in September giving them a 30 day notice not that very same day so this email was very shocking and hurtful from a parent's perspective.

The owner kept saying you didn't give a 30 day notice but on our email we explained that this email is to inform them that in a month we will be taking a break since our new born will be arriving. She then had the other partner join the call and he had the odacity to say that "I HAVE NO INTEREST TEACHING YOUR KIDS IF THEY ARE QUITTING." Word for word!!😳😲

What a joke!!! My poor kids couldn't even finish their summer holidays enjoying karate. Will not take them back to this place if my life depended on it. Becareful parents.

NO COMPASSION for Family structure or your kids( their students) happiness.

I had the pleasure and privilege of attending a skills demonstration and awards presentation at Johanis' Karate a few years ago. I was impressed by the family friendly, respectful atmosphere. The staff were encouraging and very proud of their students. In turn, the students, young and older responded by exceeding their own self-expectations.
In a world where we need more people to treat one another with respect, encouragement and dignity, Johanis' Karate has set a very high standard.

My 10 year old son has been attending this school for over two years. In that time, he has learned so much and gained so much confidence in himself. The staff at this school have been wonderful, caring and friendly, and ensure that everyone has fun. I have been impressed in observing Sensei John and how he teaches both adults and children. I am very glad that my son attends this school of martial arts.

I have seen other programs and as far as I'm concerned, this is one of the best!

This place is fantastic. They are great with kids and provide perfect balance of learning and fun. Has quickly become my son's activity of choice thanks in very large part to everyone here and the positive environment they offer.

Johanis' Karate School is a fun, energetic, family-friendly environment for training in both karate and jiu-jitsu. The programs enable physical fitness and confidence building while teaching self-defence. This martial arts school has a strong focus on developing the mind, body and spirit connection. My children and I have been members for over 10 years and have had tremendous success under the leadership at this school.
