The City of Kawartha has recently implemented some very draconian and spur of the moment stipulations for businesses operating short term rentals. As a result of this our wedding, and all of the subsequent planning, catering, AirBNB, event booking etc are being cancelled. We've lost approx $3000 in deposits because two of the locations cant commit to our bookings for family stay just as they are dealing with KLCH building department and trying to get a handle on getting their license to rent again.

What an absolutely GARBAGE turn of direction to damage the tourism, and summer businesses in Kawartha's. We will be proceeding with our plans in Orillia/Simcoe County.

Good luck to everyone in Kawartha dealing with these policies, and ridiculous certifications. I've had 3 different venues, and airbnb operators tell me they can no longer host or deliver on my bookings.

Monday June 14th. 2021
Visited the City Hall Kawartha, my 1st. visit to the Town Hall.
Due to renovation and upgrades all around the City Hall little bit tricky to get in to the city office.
Staff on duty was very friendly and helpful.
Following COVID19 protocol accordingly.
Hopefully by end of summer 2021 the historical part of the city will be very nice to stroll through the streets.

City of kawartha mistakes is just useless in all departments… roads are garbage!!! Seems like our tax money is only going towards fixing Lindsay, maybe start by repairing potholes in other areas besides Lindsay as it is not the only town I’m the Kawarthas

When u call they never answer always away from phone or on another line and never return the messages. I think the utilities lady is never there and it's a cover story lol
